Has anyone tried converting a regular TT to narrow?

Has anyone tried it? Is it possible without meesing up the shoulder? I'm afraid of sanding it down and messing it up.

yeah you just sand it... i did it non stop before the narrows came out

With all of the new bodies coming out being Narrows, and if they are stopping production on the regular, it might be a good idea to leave it alone. You never know when you might want the extra shoulder width for a custom.

Good point, but I thought the one with the Prison Break head was a regular TT and not narrow?

Just sand it down.... Eventually you'll hit the joint and that's when I stop. Works fine, not quite as good as a real Narrow TT though.

Hmmm, not 100% sure, but it looks like a narrow to me.

It was really easy and quick. I just kept grinding with my dremel drum sanding bit until the bulk was removed and then polished with a finer grade of sandpaper.

Never tried to do that on mine, maybe later.
But here what Zebraten did on OSW :

It's a little bit harsh but I don't know if sanding the shoulder connector will fragilized the body.

All right!!! I just tried this mod, dremmeling from the inside like the tutorial elvis posted and it works wonderful!!!!! There is absolutely no risk in messing up any connectors or anything since the parts that you need to dremmel are far away from any of the areas where the screws go. If you have a regular TT and need a narrow TT, this is a very good way to save money instead of paying crazy amounts for a narrow shoulder. Thanks for the tutorial Seb!

I know what you mean, but I have a few regulars (non for sale, btw) and I need some narrow now!
