I think the current boba fett figures are great. really nice collectibles. I have some of the modern ones and I can safely say they're better than the ones from the 90s. chill out darklord.

While I agree that modern Boba Fett figures are "better" than the overly bulked-up, no-necked, pre-posed Fetts from the 90's, I do believe that that particular character should have had a much "better" figure by now than the one we've got... especially when Hasbro has demonstrated themselves of being capable of being able to do so much better.

Don't get me wrong. I'm no Hasbro-basher. As far as I'm concerned, they are doing far more things RIGHT than wrong with the brand.

And the fact is, I would NOT be able to get the results that I do in my custom action figures (good or bad) without Hasbro's products.

However, as an action figure customizer, it is my tendency to create works that (hopefully) will push Hasbro to give us better and better products.

There have been many action figure customizers working tirelessly over many years who are (at least partially) responsible for inspiring Hasbro (and other toy companies) to give us better, more detailed, and more articulated figures. It was guys like us that (at least partially) inspired Hasbro to move away from the pre-posed "He-Man" hulking Star Wars figures of the 90's (which would not even fit into the vehicles they were intended for), and to embrace the "better" more detailed products that we all enjoy now.

Oh, and uh, WM, I am quite "chill", thank you.

Darklord, that is going to be one fantastic looking Boba Fett!

I really don't care for the Boba figure out now. Especially the helmet sculpt. Hasbro can do better.

The 300th Edition figure was the best looking, but it's mostly a statue.

Yours :rock

Thanks a million, Sachiel. I'm glad you dig it!

Over in the customs section I've posted a Building a Better Boba thread that extensively chronicles every step of the creation of my custom figure if anyone is interested.

I love the new Jedi wave, best series yet! Wooof is outstanding!

I'm pretty impressed with what Hasbro is turning out lately..

I hope Sideshow's Gam Guard is as cool as this small scale one from Hasbro...

And (to me at least) a less attractive paint scheme and sculpt. :( The sad this is that I really wanted to like it, but at this point I don't see myself buying the figure.

I did find a couple of Hasbro Gamorreans on ebay for a pretty reasonable price (got tired of checking around town).

The only thing about the Hasbro Gammy I'm hoping to see on the next Sideshow one is more fur. While I did come accross and image of a Gamorrean with the fur bit looking like Sideshow's first figure, years of Hasbro Gammy figure owning has got me used to lots of fur being the norm and the smaller bit on the current SSC doesn't seem right, even though it is right.

The Vintage Collection 9-pack is out now and, of course, my local Target doesn't have it. I'm not surprised, because they still don't have the ROTJ wave. :banghead

Wallz, I haven't found the ROTJ wave at ANY Target, and I've visited several in the state of Florida from Orlando up through Lake City. Their pegs are clogged with ESB and the occasional Sandtrooper from the ROTS wave. My luck with ROTJ has been at Wal-Marts only! I'm still missing the Gamorrean Guard and Wicket, though.

I went to Walmart yesterday to pick up a few supplies and decided to look in the toy isle (I was surprised there wasn't blood from the day before) and the pegs were FILLED with the ROTJ wave. It was pretty astonishing, especially with all the different colored peg hole punch outs on the floor. I go back and grab a basket and start picking them out. There were a ton of Guards and Lukes so needless to say there were a whole bunch of the others.

I go to the isle to check out and I see the black and purple SW VINTAGE COLLECTION ASST. boxes sitting on a pallet. I picked that sucker up and put some of my figures in the basket back. I took out the Vader, Anakin/Vader and Sandtrooper out and kept the rest (even though I didn't really want the Rebel Commando and Wicket but hey, they were mint, why not?).

So I got a case fresh ROTJ wave all unpunched and some extras. On the way home it hit me, I ordered some on Hasbrotoyshop.com (I had two orders and used the family discount code when they popped up the other night).

I forgot all about them and didn't expect them to arrive yesterday. So I come home WITH ROTJ in my hands and HTS boxes on my porch.

I'm going to take some back tomorrow, I ended up with a ____ load of Luke, the Guard and Klaatu but it was a great day. Everything hit all at once and it was nice to have so many to choose from. I'm really impressed with this wave. I haven't been collecting Star Wars all that much but this reeled me right back in.

They're all knock outs, especially Luke and the guard, hell Klaatu, Ackbar and R2 are fantastic too.

I've had luck finding the ROTJ wave at K-Mart as well.

Sounds like I need to venture out if I want anything different.

I was at one of our local Wal-Marts here in Fayetteville N.C. today, and noticed a Rollback tag on the BIG AT-AT. It has been rolled back from $100 to $69.99. Granted this isn't as good of a deal as the sale K-Mart had a few weeks back, but it's still a pretty substantial price cut. Just thought I'd let everyone know, so they can check their Wal-Marts...

I got a case fresh ROTJ wave all unpunched and a few guards, Klaatu, Ackbar and rebel troopers over the weekend. Out of all the SW waves this is the one I have bought the most off.

I got my Gamorrean Guards yesterday. They're just exceptional figures. Unlike most figures these days, I feel like they're worth the price. I don't really think they're going to need to redo this character unless there's a quantum leap in toy technology somewhere down the line.
