I agree... That's a good option and was def on my radar. (I still want to try the round solid foam balls for another project... no cutting)
After picking up the Red-Five helmet, I had an idea to use something with a custom depth that could support the chin strap. When I'm finished, I'll post some pics of the RF helmet stand I put together.
Since I had a 35" roll to work with, I trimmed a few sections for the other helmets. Anyways, I'm really happy with the results. The helmets are solid once placed on the straight cut foam sections, no wobble or movement.
