We don't care if SS has done it before. There are those of us who weren't collecting when Comic book Steve Rogers Cap and comic book Thor came out. For us, movie versions and alternate characters who took up the mantle will not do. So I agree with Dhaval, many of us need a new classic comic book Thor and Cap from SS.

Don't forget about the collectors who never liked those PFs to begin with. I passed on Doom, Cap, Thor, Hulk, and Spidey PFs because I didn't like any of them. Waiting on the Spidey Com paid off big time for me. I like it so much better than the PF. I'm still waiting for 1/4 fully sculpted statues of all the others listed above. I hope my patience pays off just like it did for Spidey. :impatient:

I can see sideshow doing a 1/4 Modern Thor with the metal sleeves, they've only done the sleeveless classic look. Not sure about Cap though, they kind of did both the WWII and classic look in one release.

I don't consider Hawkeye an A-list character. I reserve that to a very select few characters. In fact, I don't think Iron Man would have been there previous to his movies. Thor is still borderline A-lister in my eyes. Reserved really for Wolverine, Spidey, Hulk, Cap, and now Iron Man. Guys like Cyclops and Hawkeye would be high B's.

I agree with this. Iron Man was not the most popular hero. His comic was lame and his stories were alright but nothing amazing. Somewhere along the line they redesigned his armor, put him at the forefront of the Civil War story and all of the sudden he is cool.

All that said this Hawkeye PF has that classic vibe that we got from the Cap PF.

Absolutely thrilled about this release !!!!
Can't wait to display him with my classic Thor PF, classic Cap PF, IM Mark VI and future Hulk maquette

An INSTANT purchase for me

Vision next please !

Hawkeye is an "A" List character? :dunno

I would say now, probably yes, mainly due to recent exposure. Even earlier this year I would have said no. Just like before Iron Man's movie, I would have said no. As always, it's debatable.

Before Iron Man's film he was a B Lister, he still had his own animated adventures and was still pop culture referenced if even vaguely. Hawkeye I would argue was a C-List character who has moved up to B-List at best. I wouldn't parallel him to a character who had two full length movies about him, a cameo in another Marvel license and a huge team tentpole. I would say he is starting to be more noticed but a lot of people are using him as a "punching bag" or a "punchline" about The Avengers more than applauding him. Although depending on Marvel Studios' plans it might change soon enough.

Hawkeye doesn't have his own book or solo movie, I'd say he's a great support character, kind of like how Colossus is with the X-men. That makes him a strong B.

The Marvel "big 5" A-listers doesn't even include Thor, I guess now a days it's really the Marvel "big 6": Cap, Iron man, Thor, Hulk, Spidey, Wolverine.

Thor is as big an A-list character as Captain America is. A listers include, Hulk, Wolverine, Thor, Cap, Iron Man, Dr. Doom, Mister Fantastic, Magneto, Spiderman. Hawkeye is in B list but closer to A list, like Black Panther, Daredevil, etc.

It will pay off brother, it will. Sideshow will make it right, & do what they should have done from the beginning, 100% pure sculpt magic.:peace

The "A List" as far as Marvel goes is limited to two characters: Spider-Man and Wolverine. No matter what is going on with the rest, they are involved in ******* everything. What makes up the rest of list is dependent on what Marvel is promoting. When there is a film or new project that character is pushed beyond belief. Even Iron Man who is amazingly popular in the film universes is barely making a dent in the printed word especially paralleling him against those two above.

Oh man, I'm going to give this one some hard thought.

Really..???
