Same here. Having read the book, I believe Season 4 has the potential to be the best season yet, or at least be just as riveting as the first season.

I love the show just as much as anyone else but I really think HBO should start putting out a season every 18 months (instead of 12) to buy some more time.
If they did that they would have even worse problems with the kids aging

True. But at this point in the story it really only matters for Ayra and Bran. They are both maturing in real life quickly. After this coming season I don't think it would be that big of a deal to kill a little more time in between seasons. Rickon can always be replaced since he has had little screen time just like the younger Lannister boy will be replaced this coming season.
Season 4 will finish off book 3. I am assuming book 4 and 5 will be combined and hopefully they will get 2 seasons out of it. Book 5 is filled with tons of material while book 4 has very little.
That all buys a couple more years which I am assuming book 6 will be out buying an additional 1-2 years. At this rate I do not think GRRM will be finished in time...

Yeah, but this one has taken him how many decades to write now?
Wouldn't surprise me if we got one season of NEW stuff before the book comes out (but privy to the producers of the show) only to have the book come out before the final season and thus beating the show to the ending.

The Sopranos took 2 year breaks inbetween seasons at one point and if I'm not mistaken, possibly twice. HBO probably won't hesitate to just put it off if it becomes necassary and it's still watched enough when that time comes. We all waited for Breaking Bad, Sopranos, hell even Arrested Development so they know people will wait for this.

Most people are speculating they'll combine the last two books, which I think is a great idea since they originally were together and that way we don't have to leave characters alone for a year+ without seeing them again. But I don't think they'll just get 2 seasons out of it. I imagine you'll get 2ish seasons out of one book, so those two books could easily be 3-5 years depending on how they do them. They could always PJ them and add a bunch of fluff to expand the story. Like butter scrapped over too much bread

Had a very Game of Thrones-y Christmas.
Got Robb's sword, the White Walker bust, and some smaller stocking-stuffers.
The sword is amazing as expected, as is the White Walker bust. I wasn't completely sold on the bust from the photos and thought $100+ was a ridiculous price for it, but it really came out fantastic. Has a very nice and sturdy feel to it as well.
For those of you who have the White Walker bust, is there a small chip on the left side of the back (a bit below the left shoulder)?
It looks like a defect, but in a video review I watched on Youtube it looks like this person's bust has the same chip. I can't imagine any reason for it being there though.

I really want to get the Thrones statues but my spare cash is going on Weta Hobbit at the mo. But this stuff is limited edition so I'm worried about it selling out. Do you think the busts and statues will be found cheap on eBay?

I'll take as much Game of Thrones as I can get, though! It's proved to be a pretty good marketing strategy, I think. Over 2 million views in 2 days. Not bad! Trailer release in an hour! Eeeee!!!
