Not everything plays out like it does in the books, but besides that Shae is different in the show than in the books, so her motives will be different. For me, in the show I think it may be a combination of threats, promises and the overarching hurt that she felt when Tyrion sent her away. She wants to hurt him, but other things are at play here. And who knows, they could have told her that they won't execute him, only send him to the Wall or something. She seems pretty upset and unsure when he demands trial by combat.

Yeah, I thought perhaps the Lannisters might convince Shae they'd spare Sansa if she testified that Tyrion acted alone. I was surprised that she threw Sansa under the wagon, too. But who knows what was said and done to Shae behind closed doors. She did seem unsure of herself pretty much throughout her testimony.

So rethinking the ending last night, I guess Tyrion calls that dude that has a beef with the Mountain as his fighter to fight Mountain for him?

Yea might wife was welling up when Shae said those thing....

So was I. I welled up when Tyrion said those nasty things to hurt her and get her to leave, and then I welled up when she testified. It's just sad all the way around. :monkey2

I can't remember if he sent her away like that in the books. Did that really happen?

I was thinking the same last night, after I thought back to the previews. The Lannisters choose the Mountain, Gregor Clegane, and Tyrion chooses Prince Oberyn.

I ain't clickin' that.

You and me both...and once again, THANK YOU for using spoilers.

I click very cautiously... Right now is ok since I know whats going down but once we get passed where I am in the books I'm not going anywhere near those links! :lol

I think they're whitewashig Dany's character/impact a bit. In the Books the Goatherder came to Dany's court with...

the body of his dead son.

and not just a goat skeleton, cant remember her reaction though.

Unless I'm remembering it incorrectly?

Don't watch it unless you saw last night's episode. :lol

It's just a critical scene being replayed over and over.

hot damn....that was a great episode. That Tyrion smile was fantastic. Tyrion was able to choose his champion to fight on his behalf before but was that an option everyone gets or because he is a dwarf? One would think he will choose Bronn but will he choose Jamie just to fug with Tywin? Tyrion knows Jaime can't fight and I don't think he'd want him dead since he is on his side. Does Twin pick who fights for the crown? If so I guess he picks Bronn paying him more money or Gregor. If he picks Gregor then I figure Tyrion picks Prince Oberon.

My friend said the goat herder with a goat comes first, then later a shepherd brings in the remains of his daughter. This scene was filmed, because the actor who plays the shepherd pretty much spilled the beans a while back.

Yeah, another fantastic episode. Tyrion had some of the best lines in the series this episode IMO. Loved seeing Yara boost the morale of her ironborn men before scaling the Dreadfort and kicking Bolton ass.

Ramsay was as great as ever. He's definitely moving up to my top 10 or so favorite characters. So is Oberyn.

Oberyn: And did you?

Shae: Did I what?

Oberyn: **** him like it was his last night in this world?

:rotfl

Such a shame there's only four episodes left...feels like the premiere was just last week. :(
