High sparrow yeah, Margaery no...I was wondering what her plan would come to be, guess we'll never know now!
Man, Varys got from Dorne to Danny's Mereen fleet awfully fast!
I agree with that sometime later, Jamie will probably have to end Cersei. She's gonna be a diabolical ruler. As much as you love to hate Cersei, you kinda do feel glad that she got the 'Shame' priestess...wine waterboard!
I thought the same at first, but it was pointed out on another board, that you can see Tyrell and Dornish ships (the blue sails and the gold sails) in Dany's armada, so we just skipped over their voyage from Dorne to Mereen.
Yeah, I was so happy to see that prudish fanatic burn but also sad for Margery. With all those nobles dead I guess Bronn will finally get his own castle and bride.
Varys travelled through Dragon airlines that's for sure he just put Littlefinger to shame in that regard, the amount of eunuchs in Daenerys's council is staggering.
No, if anything, it might confirm he's Robert's son. Robert wouldn't want any *******s laying claim to this throne, jeopardizing any legitimate heirs. Gendry was kept in secret as well, remember and we know he was Robert's for sure. Its certainly R+L=J but we still just don't know which R yet
If you recall, Robert had several *******s in Kings Landing and never did a thing to harm them, they finally came to die because of an order by Joffrey/Cersei in order to protect Joffrey's claim to the throne.
Gone else think that Dany and Jon will somehow get together? She said she will travel North and hook up with a king. Who else is there for her to mate with. He is part Targynian. Those two will keep the bloodline going. Little finger planted a dangerous seed with Sansa. If she doubts Jon this could jeopardize everything.
I'm happy that Jon was crowned King In The North, him being the son of Rhaegar doesn't seem relevant anymore. I can't wait to see what Euron and Daario will do to diminish Daenerys army, pretty sure it's bound to happen since she has:
- An army of mercenaries.
- An army of Unsullied
- The whole Dothraki horde.
- The Greyjoy fleet.
- The Reach
- Dorne
- Three dragons.
The combined forces of the seven kingdoms don't stand a chance against her.
Maybe I'm stating the obvious or I'm missing something but there would be absolutely no panic or reason to hide if Jon was Robert's son. I mean Robert's love for Lliana was known throughout the seven kingdoms.

I am on board with the R+L=J thing. Have been for a while. To me it makes sense. I think it would be cool if somehow Tyrion manages to be part Targaryen as I heard that rumor once that he could be at least part of that blood line.

I have to say that the opening sequence was the best use of music and storytelling in a GOT episode since the "Reynes of Castamere" was used during the Red Wedding in the "Rains of Castamere" episode back in season 3 (obviously, the difference being that the "Reynes of Castamere" was actually being played by the band during the Red Wedding and that the music in last night's episode, "The Winds of Winter", was used to set the tone). Fantastic. I was hooked from the go by the music, and while most of us here had already deduced how things were going to unfold, the way that scene was shot was still riveting and suspenseful.
The director of this episode is the same guy who directed "Battle of the *******s" and "Hardhome", he needs to become the one and only Director for the show.
We knew Tommen was going to die, and I thought that he might be collateral damage in the Sept, but Cersei was astute enough to prevent him from leaving the Red Keep...but in her arrogance and vengeance, she didn't think how Tommen himself would take losing his bride.
Yeah, I honestly thought that the season would end with the White Walkers breaching the wall (which leads me to a point I'll bring up later in this long @$$ post...)
It's kinda weird that Cersei just murdered hundreds of people and now she's the queen and everyone's like "That's cool". I wonder if they just don't know it was her, and assumed it was an unfortunate accident.
I'm sure Jamie knows what's up, and his arc next season will be if he brings her to justice or not. I assume he can't really, but he will betray her, or relive his Kingslayer moment and become a Queenslayer as well. I mean, that's Jamie's whole arc, everything he's done has been for Cersei, but once he realizes she's an awful person, and she doesn't care for him, the same way he cares for her. He wants to be good, she doesn't. Ultimately, he will kill her. That's just the way drama works.
She pretty much eliminated all her enemies in one fell swoop. The Sparrows and Faith Militant stood for the common people. The Tyrells are gone (with the exception of the Queen of Thorns). No major players to contest her ascension.
I think it will be very poetic if
Jaime does have a hand in Cersei's death, and maybe dies with her. She made a point of saying some seasons ago that they "Came into the world together"...it would be poetic indeed if they left the world together.
Yes, it sucks that it ended and we didn't get to see Margaery's long game. Oh well.
As for the Mountain, my wife asked the same thing. Use your imagination and think of the worst...this was the guy who in his previous "human" incarnation killed Elia Martell and Rhaegar Targaryen's infant children and ***** Elia Martell before killing her...
Yes, that and Arya showing up at the Twins so fast were the "missteps" of the episodes...but that's only nitpicking what was a fantastic episode overall. I'll take offscreen sea travel over offscreen deaths any day of the week...and twice on Sunday's when GOT comes on.
Now to cancel HBO until GOT returns next spring...although both The Night Of and Westworld are tempting me to keep HBO a little longer...
The only real threat I could see facing Dany and her massive army is the cold. Winter is here and it's the worst one in a long time. Someone said on the show yesterday. The majority of her army at used to the warm climate. I wonder how they will adapt to the frigid temperatures?
Didn't they change that, though? In the book, the line is "Jaime Lannister sends his regards", I believe. I thought the series ret-conned it so this was all Tywin's plan and Jaime had no part in it?
One point I started to allude to in my previous post but forgot to finish: when Benjen Stark brings Bran and Meera to the Wall and tells them he can't go any further, that the Wall has magic that prevents the dead from passing...if that's the case, unless the White Walkers have some magic of their own, or can destroy the wall, their army of wights cannot pass. The White Walkers could theoretically pass the Wall themselves and create a new army. And back in season one, wights were able to pass the wall, as the dead Night's Watch brothers became wights when Jon Snow saved the Lord Commander. I guess the technically were not wights yet, as the Night's Watch brought them back to Castle Black prior to them turning.
Yes, winter and the cold has to be one of the White Walker's greatest weapons. Think about Old Nan's stories of the Long Night, when families starved and killed their own as a mercy. It'll also be interesting to see if some of the visions that Dany saw in the House of the Undying come to pass; there was one vision of the Red Keep covered in snow and ice...it would be incredible to see the Long Winter make it all the way down to King's Landing.
I had to re-up for a month just to see last night's episode, but it was totally worth it. Plus, I'll watch the remainder of Silicon Valley that I've neglected. Fun show.

Jaime said that to Roose as he left Harrenhal. While it's clear that Jaime wasn't the one orchestrating the Red Wedding, there was that connection. It's not clear how much Arya knows about what really happened there, though. I'm not sure who knows that he pushed Bran out of the window, either.
I'm assuming a big chunk of the wall will be destroyed, to allow the Walkers through.
