Sorry I’ve been Mia from these parts but had I been around I’d have supported that statement from day 1, especially since I’ve had the privilege of owning a couple of Adam Gu sculpts for the last 10+ yrs. I art is way way off the mark

These latest customs though have finally exceeded what Adam was able to do, more so on the hair rooting than the likeness but the hair is a huge part of the overall look

I’ve been catching up with the Ledger joker customs game after retiring from the hobby for a good while - so what’s the consensus on overall best custom clothing sets? Where does the kato set rank? I used to run the orders for Kato back in the golden age

it was WW3 for mentioning such a statement around here.

There are some really good custom sculpts around now, far exceeding Adam’s.

Good custom clothing options to mix but none at the level I’ve been after. Own them all except for Aries as it didn’t hit the mark for her ridiculous asking price of 2-3k a suit.

Best waistcoat to date is Iris, pants are Yunsil’s with Wonderworld pocket chain swap, would be Iris due to the accurate dotted pinstripe design but the fit and material isn’t correct.

Purple coat is still Kato, possibly being beaten by the new JND coat.

Socks - Wonderworld

Blazer - wonderworld, possibly JND soon

Shirt - wonderworld, possibly JND soon

Tie - Dino currently

Where would you rank the Kato coat and vest specifically
I can see the shirts have definitely improved from Katos in pattern accuracy and the way they fit at the collar

Kato coat is good, likely will be beaten by the new JND, better cut, better material, more accurate seam lines, also has the proper sleeve cuff buttons.

Their new Reeve 1:3 production piece is fantastic though.

It’s Heise’s sculpt, he made it himself over the course of two years, back last year this time it was made available. Sold out nowadays.

John wu is another painter with cheaper rates and less of a booked up schedule if his work is good enough for you, to me it’s still Heise all the way but he’s certainly coming along.

The two best sculptors right now are Yixie and Lu1yo314.

Heise it's hit or miss, his interrogation sculpt is really good but his others lacks the likeness in my opinion.
But he will improve for sure.

Yeah no worries, it is also Heise’s paint and hair work, sculpt in its entirety is by Heise.

Heise it's hit or miss, his interrogation sculpt is really good but his others lacks the likeness in my opinion.

He only sculpted that one Interrogation sculpt, everything else he just paints so likeness doesn’t ultimately come down to him.

If the sculpt is off, no one except Yelim can save it.

He worked/is working on others Ledger sculpts.
And their likeness for now is off in my opinion, but it's still WIP I think.

@DiostaR has John ever repainted and rooted the Inart sculpt? I'd be surprised if he hasn't. I'd love to see it.
