They are both awesome. Each one conveys a different message, so much so I have decided to keep both of them as their differences compliment each other.

Mine just arrived last week, and here they are!

Again thanks for the scans.

wow that pics are one of the best i have seen till now:horror

Thanks!

i´ll have my ex now... with my hellboy I it will be a great compilation :banana

I agree, if you have the space definately pose them together. This is not like the SS Iron Man in the same pose but different color and light up scheme. IMO, in the case of the SS Iron Man, they do look duplicated, and beg to be somewhat seperated to another part of the display. Again, IMO, those IM should have been completely different poses. With the Hellboys, as you can see in the last two pics, even slightly moving them in a different direction gives a completely different look. SS really did well on these ones. I have not even seen the Hellboy movies before purchasing these, nor have I read Hellboy, but these statues have got me watching the movies now, lol

Awesome Pics guys
:rock

Thanks Kratos!

Thanks Amin! Your display is not too shabby either my collector friend! It is a superb display that one can aspire too, and I certainly do. In fact the other day I was trying to pull up your thread (along with some other members) from the Shelves post to show my brother-in-law outstanding displays in this forum: but I could not find it and I could not remember your handle on this forum:banghead! Seriously you have a rockin' display.

As for the Hellboys, yes IMO keep them both if you can afford to do so and have the space. They are incredible together.

Mine arrived Friday and was able to get it opened and displayed Sunday.
I agree if you have both and can display them together then do so, this is one of the best of the year imo.The statue just demands attention from the minute you see it. Pictures look good by the way but don't do it justice compared to in person.

Average. It's actually half the size of the Thor PF's box.

Also, sideshowtoy.com gives that kind of information right on their website. Just search for the product, and then specs. :)

Thanks - usually yes, but for the second HB PF the box size is not given.

Ditto. It does look better in person ... and I also agree this has to be SS hit of the year so far.

Unfortunately the size & proportions of the the "right hand of doom" is off. :ogat

I'm surprised nobody else noticed that. ;) :lol

Bellstaff, awesome review thanks for the link.

After reading it, I thought the reviewer did and excellent job on the piece he/she received. I agree on the point of the arm, and I must say, I did notice that, but for me the overall dynamic pose and great job on the sculpt overrode that and never gave it another second thought until know. Then again, a sculpt that begins to reach greatness, people will look for even the smallest discrepancies in details, and rightly so if you begin placing it in the greatness category.

One point I did disagree on with the reviewer was the overall size. The reviewer commented it may have been a bit small overall, even crouched, when put beside some of the other PF. If you put him beside a figure that in real life scale (1:1) is actually taller and has more volume than the Hellboy, well then of course it will be smaller in proportion and volume in 1:4 scale also. And when you crouch the volume will appear much less of course, which the reviewer mentioned.

I just took a quick peek at the pics I posted with both Hellboys. Other than color variation in the big arm and gloves, he is pretty near the same size if not exact as the original. Even the big rockin arm looks the same in size (not color though), in fact I would not be surprised if they took the same mold from the arm of the old one for the new one and made a new mold based on that one.

Again, awesome review, thanks for the link

I definitely have to get some LED lights for my display case. This was from messing around with a LED flashlight

I believe that along with "sideshowfreaks" both sites can be very helpful to serious collectors/consumers. As brilliant pointed out at
https://www.mwctoys.com/FEATURE_031808.htm
Also the analysis of the "Samaritan" done by Captain Toy saved me a few bucks: https://www.mwctoys.com/REVIEW_111008a.htm

I have heard of this reviewer before, and I should have read it before I bought it from a financial point of view. He is good, and really makes a lot of sense.

I agree. I have to say though, even without the proper lighting, it is a beauty display. I have a couple of possible solutions I am working with on my shelving, but I just have not gotten to messing around with it.

Nice set-up though.

I have to say too, whether you are a HB fan or not, whether you are collecting HB or not, the sculpts that SS has put out so far in HB (ok EXCEPT for the HB 1:1 bust), is arguably the best overall looking pieces that SS has when putting all of them together. I mean there are obviously individual items that are spectacular from other themes, I am just saying that when you buy the SS PF HB, the props, and display them together, it is like someone saw what this was going to look like in the end and built it towards that end. Again, less the 1:1 bust.

I agree about them looking great displayed together, but I think the 1:1 Hellboy looks good enough to warrant a purchase. Don't have one myself, but the in hand pictures sold me. Sure, the expression could be a little better, but I plan on getting one. I guess the Non-diehard Hellboy fans shouldn't be purchasing it though.
