Its not really a competition. Its more of a random drawing. And just because someone pieces together a figure using various parts, that doesn't not make it a custom. It's still something that's not available in mass production. You don't have to have a 3D printer to make a custom figure.

Customizing vs. Kitbashing has been debated for a long time without a definitive answer as far as I'm concerned, so let's not go down that road.
I think getting the best combination of parts available for the figure you want does qualify IMO.

Same here. Plus there would be no way for TA to accurately "judge" a competition that is so diverse. A random drawing makes it fair and fun for everyone. And besides, they don't have to do it at all. Its out of the kindness of their hearts. So there's no reason for anyone to get snarky about how they choose to do it.

Corrong me if I'm wrect - where does swapping parts equal customising (perhaps I have stumbled onto a TA promo thread that's not really a competition) surely you have to make or adjust something???

Maybe I'm in the wrong place... Are you guys blatantly advertising the fact that you sell little, loose pieces and can 'help' collectors part with small sums of money in order to better build a 1:6 scale figure by showing them classy taken photographs. Is that not just 'parting out' or worse: figure ****? Does the ranking in this 'competition' equate to the amount of your items are purchased and shown - surely not!?

Does stating this make me not win the 'Random Contest'??? See you in the New Year! B-)

You are wrong. No where does it say this is a competition. Toy Anxiety has made it clear it's a random drawing. A way for members to share photos of their figures.
