Need some opinions guys. What's your thoughts on the Hot Toys Quarter scale figures. Please reply with your choice from below along with any comments you might have. Part them out. $250 for 1/6 figures, $450 for 1/4.... 1/4 will become the new craze. The bodies and weapons will be in demand from me.

I do want want one, but it's impossible space and cost wise for me.
Also, I have no idea where I'm going to get parts to kit bash anything in 1/4 scale, so part outs don't make much sense at the moment, IMO.
Unless I make NBA Jam-style 1/6 figures with really huge heads...

Hot Toys 1/6 figures are starting to price me out of the hobby, so the 1/4 scale will be out for sure. Don't get me wrong, they look great.

To me there is just so little in this scale that the bodies, accessories and what-not would not do well parted out. I think 1/6 works well since there is so much out there that it's possible to bash just about anything.

Gotta find a way to get that Endoskeleton for the movie room.
Part outs don't seem feasible like 1/6th.
But the quality seems better than Enterbay for the scale.
E for me.
I'm in the C/D camp mainly. I not buying into the 1/4 scale figure phase going on right now myself. But then again I thought PFs would tank too, so I have been wrong before.
That said, I think the villian masks and the base that comes with Batman look really cool. Wouldn't mind just being able to get the masks, but if these were parted out, I don't see them being very cheap though. So I think you'll run into that a lot. People probably would like these parted out, but the sticker shock will probably turn many away.

I'm not knocking the format, but rather the potential for bashes and whatnot (specifically in response to B - seems like trying to part these out would be more trouble than it's worth).
As far as carrying the figures themselves is concerned, I can see people buying two or three of these things - not me, of course, but people - I just can't see them becoming the pseudo-phenomenon that 1:6 is.

Yeah, I think 1/4 is too big for most people, although it may convert Premium Format and Statue folks.

E. To be honest, I am just not interested in this scale. As a basher/customizer... there just isn't enough out there for me to pick pieces from and make my own. ALTHOUGH, if did part out the body... I may buy one! haha.

Both C and D for me. There aren't too many 1/4 scale figure out there to customize, so the parts would be unnecessary IMO. The figures are cool, but I'm going to stick with 1/6 figures for the most part and the parts for 1/6 scale cover a wide range of possibilities.
