We have very very little left of DX12 Batman, and if by some miracle we decide to part out any of them (not likely), the prices will go way up. Sorry, I wish we had more, but this was one of our best selling boxed figures to date leaving less to part out.

Bummer.

Just a quick note to let everyone know something that's going on. Sideshow is now cutting the quantities we're allowed to order on their product as well as Hot Toys. This began with the Scar Predator, and every order since has been cut by about 25%. Apparently with more new accounts, they are having to allocate more heavily. Any amount that they cut from our order is being put on waitlist, but we rarely get anything we have on waitlist, though we never had our orders cut before, so hopefully we'll get those as well. We shall see. Needless to say we're disappointed with this news, but we have no control over it. Hopefully some other companies will rise to compete and we'll have more choices of product. We hope you like that we're now carrying Enterbay and if they continue to do well enough despite the higher prices, we'll continue to increase our orders with them. We also really like Blitzway's product, but there's not much to do with a handful of Al Pacino figures. We're really hoping they'll start doing more.

That sucks. Sounds like they just need to up their production numbers if they don't have enough to go around. I get they are limited on what Hot Toys they can get, but they shouldn't have that problem with their own products.

Have you guys thought about having War Toys (still your sister sight right?) ordering some of these to make up for or even be able to increase your current order sizes? That might be one way to get around a 25% cut. Increase it buy another 50%! :lol

War Toys doesn't have an account as they don't have a brick and mortar store. Sideshow requires this (at least used to) to have an account. Frankly I wouldn't want to risk our client status with Sideshow by taking advantage of a situation like that anyway.

As for increasing our order, if we happen to get all that go on waitlist too, then we would be getting too many. By too many, I mean what we can afford.

You'd think with all the moaning about increasing prices and re-releases, manufacturers would be struggling, but hearing the behind the scenes stuff, it paints a pretty rosy picture.

More price increases = more sales. . . whodathunk??

Seems as prices increase edition sizes are decreasing.

Ah, didn't know they didn't have a store front. I was looking for it in the plaza when I was down there, but didn't see it. Are they run out of TA or Ron's house or what then? :lol

I know they don't update as much as you guys, but it might not be a bad idea to include any of their updates along with yours. If they are still your sister site that is.

They're not really a sister store, more of a cousin. We operate completely separately, and we have no interest in promoting their sales and vice versa. If it weren't for the nature of the relationship, we'd be more competitors.

They are in our plaza, but there is not a store front. It's more warehouse like inside, and no one can just walk in and look around.

That's my take as well. Maybe a little bit of Sideshow wanting to sell more product directly to individual customers and less to retailers as well, but that's just speculation on my part.

Ah, good to know. You guys are always number one to be anyway :rock

If Sideshow is saying they're getting more new accounts, that would mean demand is increasing. . . so it wouldn't make much sense to limit supply, if you're getting more new customers.

All the anecdotal evidence I've seen shows that edition sizes are decreasing. We KNOW that Sideshow's run are decreasing, but it would seem that Hot Toys' is increasing. BUT, if what Sideshow is saying is true, then it would mean that demand is outpacing supply. But frankly, that doesn't make sense. If you need a B&M store to get an account. . . where are all these new B&M stores?? I keep reading about the death of comic book stores, and how they're all closing up, so who is opening up new accounts?? Nobody right now is saying "Hey, I'm going to open up a new retail store and sell high-end movie merchandise".

:lecture. That's what I'm thinking too.

I was already sort of leaning toward that conclusion with some of the new policies and enticements like free shipping on Hot Toys and stuff that they're using to get more retail purchases.

I've also noticed some changes in the policies of some of the big retailers of items sold by Sideshow, so that kind of clued me in as well. I don't hate Sideshow for it or anything, but I really do prefer to buy my stuff from an online retailer rather than directly. That's just my personal preference. I'd hate for my buying options to be limited or to see the customizing community get hurt due to the changes that are taking place.
