Just a little freaky
Hey guys,
My name is josh. I registered a ways back, but haven't actually joined in on all the fun until tonight! There's some really good words about this site coming from some of my pals at rebelscum. That's where i usually hang out (as i'm mostly a star wars guy*). Anyways...i'm an artist / painter, & i make a VERY humble living doing that (as well as other odd jobs like house painting etc...). And, of course, my main hobby is star wars collecting. Seeing as i've pushed all the limits at the bars, i, generally, stay at the house these days w. my two dogs Moon & Roscoe. Just put a down payment on a big ol' 100 year old Victorian fixxer upper (here in Pittsburgh) last fall...so, yeah...that keeps me extremely busy! But, with my spare time, i'm probably like most everyone else; constantly working on expanding my collection (well beyond my financial means, of course!), constantly selling off parts of my collection!...and watching movies. But ya' gotta' get out of the house once in a while (i suppose)...so i run long distance. Hoping to finally race in a marathon this fall.
Looking forward to meeting some cool new collectors & pals here on the boards. Drop me a line any time. Oh, & regarding my painting, i'm primarily akin to the German Expressionists & Mexican muralists, so i do alot of really huge pieces with figures & lots of color & form. But, lately, i've been meaning to finally combine my hobby w. my passion & crank out some big intense star wars themed pieces. I have a show in a couple weeks...& i might finally do my first star wars piece! At any rate, if i do get into doing some pieces along those lines, i'll happily post them in the art thread (or whatever it's called, i forget?). And, hey, if i do, please feel free to drop me a line with any input or requests even. Any new work will always be good for the ol' portfolio! And feedback is always good too (even if it's on the critical side)!
