I've recently received an unopened Hot Toys Thor figure from eBay. Upon opening, the head was loose in the box. When I went to reattach the head I noticed that the neck socket, down inside the rubbery neck piece, was chipped and cracked. Because of this, and the rubbery neck piece extending so far above the neck socket, the head post will not stay inside the neck socket. It will pop in, but will not stay popped in, it pops right back out again. The seller is not taking returns nor is it his fault, so what should/could I do? Thanks for all your expertise and time helping me out. :)

You can replace those if its the part I'm thinking of; kind of looks like a cylinder? Problem would be finding one. Another option is you might be able to repair it.

Regardless of what you do you'll have to pull it out... so I'd do that and see what is damaged and if it can be fixed. If not then I'd start the hunt to try and find one.

Yeah, you're right. Locating one might be hard as there are none on ebay. However, I took some needle-nose pliers and pop the neck socket out (it just popped right out) and to my surprise, it's completely identical on both ends. So I turned it around, putting the chipped end onto of the ball inside the neck, and the rubber neck holds the neck socket in place very well and I have a new neck socket on top for popping in the head ball post. It totally worked. The head sits fairly tightly in it's new socket. The rubber neck is doing all the work, holding the socket in place. It's a great and free fix. Thanks for your help.
