Hey, not sure if this is the right place to post this or not but I need some help. I bought a Hot Toys Alice body from a someone here and when I got it, the rubber parts of the body were filthy dirty. Is there any special way to clean these figures? I don't want to destroy or ruin it in any way, and I hope that the figure is salvageable.

Thanks.

Try to use Oxy. It might work depending how long the dirty has been there. Hope it helps

Didn't that figure come out like 2 months ago?
How the Hell is it dirty already?
Did the guy who sold you it F#*k it?

do you mean like spray it down with an Oxy spray, or get the stuff you mix with water and soak it?

I was wondering the same damn thing.

Just apply it on the stained part for a little while and than rub it off. It might take a few times. Good luck

That's not dirty, its staining from the fabric. Rubber body soak that stuff up. You wont be able to get that out.

Yeah, the same thing happened to my HT muscular body - brand new and pristine, put a new BBI black body suit (quality, on par with HT clothes) on for maybe five minutes to check the fit, took off the suit - whammo, pretty significantly stained.

Not as bad as that, but close. The rubbery parts on all HT bodies wick the color from clothes so fast it's scary. For me it didn't matter (the body was almost all covered) but those bodies shouldn't do that. Even the non rubbery parts (arms) I noticed started to wick the color too, so it's not just the rubbery torso that's in danger though they didn't stain anywhere near as bad.

You'd expect it to do that after being in contact for a couple of years, not a couple of minutes.

White spirit on a soft rag. Try in a discreet spot first. I had a female TT body that had taken an orange stain and I thought it was ruined. White spirit worked well. Don't use to much though or it will dry and crack the rubber. Rinse with soapy water too. Good luck

I hate to say the only way to get rid of that is either sell the body or cover it up with clothes to hide the stains. :(

Hmm, how exactly will that get rid of the stains? :lol

I think if you want a perfectly clean body, you're probably just gonna have to buy a new one. You can always offer this one for sale. I'm sure someone can use a female body for a project that won't have exposed skin.

I don't know how successful it would be with staining , but I find baby wipes useful for cleaning rubber bodies .
