If this is true, I foresee a bloody war to cleanse the world of this abomination. At least, there will be here on the forums. I doubt my allies of Kurganstan will let this go down without a noble, glorious fight to the end. Though if anything good does come of this, it will be an awakening of those Kurganistic feelings long kept at bay over the past few months. Maybe their presence and former glory will be rekindled!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

not so much a remake as a cash in and ^^^^^k up!!

This film does not need to be remade! Why would they do this?? If Highlander - The source was anything to go by, this will stink of ^^^^^.

Wow, someone needs to lop off the head of Hollywood :lol

Clancy is the only person who could and should ever play the Kurgan, since he won't be in the movie the execs should just pack it up and call it a day :lecture

It was bad enough to see so many classics get remade but is Hollywood so desperate that they are now remaking ^^^^ty movies :monkey4

They should get Tim Burton to direct it. He's really good at those "revisions". :D

I can see it maybe redone as a comedy. Get Will Ferrell as the Kurgan character, because I think they'd change it around so the villain's a bit different. John C. Reilly can be Ramirez and maybe Jason Bateman as the Highlander.

But the have to bring Freddy Mercury back from the grave to do the soundtrack...

idiotic idea hollywood.

probably "The Rock" as the Kurgan and Will Smith and The Highlander.

The Rock was the first person I thought of too. Ugggg. Maybe Vin Diesel. Yay. I'd love to see a Raging Bull remake with Shai Lebouf and Casablanca with Samuel L. Jackson too.

Don't you have some Tonner dolls to play with?

Depending on how the remake goes, there may not a Kurgan or McCleod or anyone from the original, just the concept.

I'm not a fan of the idea, but I can understand remakes like King Kong that were done ages ago where it'd be interesting to see the story told in a new way, but a movie made just a couple of decades ago shouldn't be in the remake bin already. What's next, the Matrix remade.

Actually Tonner has the Highlander license - the first release...

...Medieval Kurgan! :chew

Actually this is gonna be the 1st release from Tonner.

Why remake it? the story line still has life. The Source was the start of a new trilogy, continue that idea. We don'r need a remake they will just throw some MTV style teen heart throbs and ruin it. and this is a franchise that survived Highlander 2: The quickening!

They have now decided to make a movie that was a piece of crap into the piece of crap that crapped out the piece of crap. :monkey4 :lol :monkey4

First off, no one, NO ONE can be the Kurgan besides Clancy. That is his role...he owned it and anyone else who even tries to pull it off will be a loser. Second, the only way I would EVER EVER EVER watch this atrocity would be if the Kurgan gets the final quickening in the end. Lambert/Connor was a ^^^^^....Clancy/Victor should have totally taken his head.

At least a Kurgan knows ^^^^ when they see it. Lambert is hardly a hero. He is a complete idiot which is why I don't connect with the movie. He doesn't even look like he could kick some ass. It is just not in his nature.

The Kurgan is the ONLY REDEEMING QUALITY in the whole entire film...but Clancy is such a presence, such a bad ass mother^^^^er....that he can pull off the impossible and make a horrible piece of crap a cult classic and make the Kurgan one of the most memorable villians in film history.

Yeah his Pet Cemetary role was Oscar material. I tell you he was so underated. :rotfl
