That's why they'll do a $150 Guardians Accessory pack that will include the Ravager uniforms for each of the Guardians.

I just meant that even though they may be slow about it for whatever reasons, I still expect they'll be releasing the Drax figure - he's the last of the 5 main characters (Rocket, Starlord, etc.) to be released for pre-order (unless you've heard otherwise)... if for no other reason it makes sense from a business standpoint - they invested in the prototype and don't want to waste that effort, plus the movie did well, so why wouldn't they release it?

Yeah but if pre orders for the first 4 are low they wont do the fifth "just because"... Watchmen is a great example... they even did Rorschach prototype. Prototypes dont take much to do up, especially when all your artists and sculptors are in house

cause they rolled out the first 4 at a steady pace... then Drax dropped off without any news or info...

if the PO's were high or at expected levels, theres no reason Drax wouldnt have gone up, even if there were needed updates (even starlord went up with no head, then a poor one, then another updated smirk head) so theres no reason Drax couldnt have been solicited, other then the line didnt perform the way they expected...

now thats not to say he wont come, maybe as the others are released, there will be more orders and theyll see a new demand

I disagree. I think Drax was the one longest from completion with the prototype and is the reason it hasn't been put up for pre order either.

Who knows with Hot Toys. They've put up Ichabod Crane and that wasn't even shown at SDCC, yet Batman Returns Batman and the Ripley's and powerloader haven't shown up yet at all.

The Starlord Ex went to waitlist very quickly, so I imagine there is plenty of interest in the line overall.

Watchmen wasn't exactly a hugely successful film, unlike GotG, so I'd be very surprised if they didn't produce all 5 of the leads.

Can we expect to get a Ronan or Nebula as well? I wouldn't count on it.

I'm not sure if HT have over estimated demand with this line however. It's a bit like the Hulk/Banner set that Sideshow were dropping $100 off during Spooktackular. I would have thougt that would have been long sold out.

Unless they decided Drax required an entirely new resculpt for the head and body. And they did not want to promote what they currently have, as the product they're selling. imo the prototype should have never been shown to the public, but they had no choice cause they needed the whole team. If they were going to sell what is being displayed at expos right now, it would've gone up for PO already. Its certainly a higher priority than Ichabod

Hot toys is not afraid of what prototype is shown in the PO pics (see Man of Steel) the prototype was done up and shown.

Starlord (the Main character) had great sales, very true. that doesnt mean they all PO'd well... I myself only ordered SL and none of the others... I doubt im the only one.

HT's is under no obligation to do the entire team, and just because the movie does well does not mean the toy line automatically will be A) done/completed or B) successful

its the most obvious thing, not discounting the possibilities of other things... but it makes the most sense. I know you people want this badly, hell I might have ordered it... but I cant see how this isnt obvious to you

how long has it been since Gamora went up? Drax did go up "right away" but I think were past that "right away" window as its been "quite sometime"

and Im not making the point he isnt coming.. im just offering up the obvious explanation as to why he hasnt been announced yet, dont confuse the two people

And I wouldn't expect any major changes to Drax. The figure you've seen at the cons, for better or worse, is most likely the one that will be released, if even that.

And I dont think it looked all that bad either, the likeness needed some work but it was an all new body and looked pretty accurate, no?

I can't say for sure, but I think the general consensus is Drax should be snarling, or at least not placid, the body should be greenish and it should have shoulder traps.

These are actually all pretty fair criticisms, but does anyone really think HT is going back to the drawing board for Drax? At this point, I'd be fairly surprised if he goes up for PO.

I'll buy Star Lord, Groot and Rocket and maybe Gamora. but probaby not even her. Thought she and Drax were pretty boring characters. and money is tight so... But hope you'll get Drax.

drax is def grey not green, he looks green in that scene because of all the blueish greenish lights in the room and screen.

I've never seen the movie, so I can't say one way or the other, but there are these.

IOW, there's conflicting information. But he looks pretty green to me, more often than not.
