Yeah i did add foam squares to pad him out. I havent finished customising him yet as i have added a pvc hose to his guantlett and i have re dyed the cape. I do have pics of before i modified fett .i will detail everything with updated photoswith other elements ive customised

You should paint the orange stripe if it isn’t already.

Matrix, it's really hard to tell. I think Kershner definitely used some blue filter when shooting Bespin, but this pic looks like pretty clean, white light. Note Fett's gloves and neck, very white. Yet the suit is pretty blue. Again, it's really tough to tell with these costumes with all the different lighting. But like you said, all in preference! :wink1: I've always thought of ESB Fett's jumpsuit as being pretty blue compared to the Grey ROTJ. So, I can't wait to dye mine.

I noticed in the Dinner hall scene BOba suit is even more blueish than the other scenes , problem is no one will ever know for certain what the colour is because the suit from ESB was stolen or repurposed - only replicas exist .

The original suit in ROTJ is also blueish, but in the special edition scenes they used a light grey .

Here is a quick snap shot of another mod i did with the right arm gauntlett. I added a clear PVC hose that is for some reason on the Hot Toys stock version is missing ( WTF hot toys !)

I used a clear pvc tube that shrinks when heated so it form fits the grey silver hose quite nicely..
tomorrow , I will take some photos of my finished mods in daylight so you can see the suit for its natural colours. I also did a cape mod which I think you will like ( you guys will see when i post tomorrow.

quick snap of cape mod. ( photo is a tad dark as its 6 am here )

I redyed it with RIT Dye ( TAN ) to darken it as the original whilst acceptable too light for this version of boba. I also took the wire out for a more natural hang and weathered it with soot ( TAMIYA WEATHERING KIT)

White won't really change color when timing slightly different colors. I see a lot of green tint on the walls in that photo which could modify other colors accuracy in that pic. Who knows how its been timed?

That's said, my Fett arrived today (with Vader) from Timewalker. Amazing little figure but I have a lot to do to get him looking right. Going to be days of work. But fun.

Amazing experience getting both Vader and Fett together... quite a day. I foresee a lot of futzing in my future.

never used Google Express, so, don't know how it works, they seem to only accept credit cards, no PP
but they have 20% off for first time buyers
and Toywiz.com has their HT inventory stock on google express
with ESB deluxe version for $266.99 or regular $269.99 from Toywiz.com and with free shipping

And Toywiz.com has a 10% off coupon for first time buyers but not sure if coupon can be used through the GoogleExpress site

maybe check it out for other 1/6 scale figures or other figures

Again, I never used Google Express, so, don't how this works. But if I didn't have the deluxe version I would try to order a figure.

May the futz be with you.

Got boba today, also. Can’t wait for the wife to go to sleep.
guards arrive tomorrow, hopefully stain free.

ESB tends to hue towards blue regardless of the actual colour of the costumes. Just look at Han (treads lightly). We know his Hoth coat was brown but the film was lit/finished/timed (I'm no expert) so it looks for a majority of the time to be blue. We also know his jacket was grey, but again, it often appears blue. It's hardly surprising that Boba's suit is similarly effected. And as Wor-Gar noted, those colour timings don't effect everything, Leia's suit stays a nice crisp white throughout.

At the end of the day it comes down to personal preference.

Having a HT ESB Fett helmet in-hand now, I'm already planning ways to narrow the squint. The horizontal part of the "T" isn't narrow enough. I like the sculpt overall though. Aspects of the Marmit still hold up well, but the cheeks are much more accurate on the HT.

We know that the ESB flight suit was blue, very close to the Bespin shoots above.

We know this because the same suit was used in ROTJ and the coloring survived in areas where it wasn’t damaged by time or the sun.

I feel like Sideshow ver 2 may have gotten the colouring correct. I am going to put the ESB parts on him and leave the HT as PrePro.

Im gonna try to find the SS arm gauntletts as they are not as gappy. The SS V2 is a very accurate color for the flight suit. The Vest material is way off bit colour was right. Some people think the Flak Vest is white but is more a light grey and some scenes appears creamish (bespin hall scene)

I also think on the Hot Toys helmet the left triangle is black but one should be silver and the other red i think. I need to double check

I dyed my SS V1 dylon china blue and was happy with the results. I am still kicking around dying the new Hot Toys one but I am leaning toward not doing it. I do think Hot toys used a blue gray dye when coloring the jumpsuit. I have 2 of them, one is a deluxe and one regular. The regular definitely has a more blue look to it as it doesn't look to be as weathered as the deluxe. All in all I think I am happy with the level of blue in the jumpsuit. Especially when next to the ROTJ one. Maybe it plays tricks on my eye but I definitely see blue. When I hold it up to my SS V2 it isn't quite as blue as that but it really isn't that far off. I gave my SSV2 to my son so it isn't standing near it anyway. Maybe ill try to grab another jumpsuit and experiment with it.

Interesting that the regular Fett is bluer than the deluxe, yet less weathering.

I actually felt my deluxe was blue enough for me, to me eye anyway, although it does depend on the light. That said, Mike's Fett looks awesome in pictures.

Wait a second!

There is a difference between regular and deluxe Boba Fett besides the extra parts and helmet?
