Hot Toys 1/6 figure Black Adam (Deluxe) + Golden Armor

With so many pictures and reviews coming out it is clear to me that this is one of the best looking Hot Toys releases lately.

But I am really unsure of how this figure looks best, I have the Golden Armor version ordered but I can’t make up my mind about how he looks best:
No Cape
Long Cape
Or
Cloak (I would try to find that separately)

How do you think the Golden Armored version looks best?

I think no cape or cloak is the best look .

I caved and ordered the Golden Armor version, one of the last I could find at retail. I think this one is going to be a grail. Low production, especially for the Golden Armor, and fantastic looking figure of a popular actor, divisive film non withstanding. Looks great, excited to add him to my DCEU display.

I have little hope Pop Cultcha will actually fullfil their preorders. I feel like the reception of this figures release was so poor that HT just said f-it and didn't produce enough.

From my understanding Pop is like the Sideshow of Australia, get their stock from them and are official. They may take forever but I haven't heard of Pop cultcha telling anyone they won't be sending a figure that was pre ordered.

Yes, I have used them three times in the last 6 months-8months I have had zero problems with them and was very happy with my experience with them despite having a bit of a wait.

They are very reliable.

They've canceled a HT order on me and an Admiral Kirk from EXO (luckily got Kirk on waitlist from SSC).

Damn that sucks to hear. Wonder if that's a regular occurence. I've only ordered in stock stuff from them but haven't heard too many stories of them taking pre orders they can't fulfill. Hopefully your story is a rare exception.

Definitely my favorite figure, he's gonna pose well with supes. I'll just do it myself since DC didn't want to.

Anyway does anyone know if there's custom cloaks for him yet? I hate the golden armor cloak. I wanna buy the DX 30 just for the cloak it comes with

This is a spectacular release. The figure is pretty near perfection. My only complaints are that the original hooded cape isn't included. I know it's not screen accurate, but it is cooler. Second complaint is that you need a screw driver to remove the included cape, which comes attached. The lightning effects are cool and add some flair. The stone diorama looks nice too. Probably figure of the year for me.

I only want the DX29 figure, the neutral-ish/stern head (not the comically horrible eyebrow/bug eye sculpt) and the cloak. I'll be selling off literally every single thing else.

If I had more space and money I think I’d get the DX29 also. Totally cool looking figure. I think I’ll be removing the cape though. While for most figures their cape adds to the look for this one I think he’ll look better without.

Yeah he does look really good.

But like you mine hasn’t arrived yet, but I’m thinking that he may look better/more interesting without the cape for some reason.

Here he is with his chest emblem lit up. And it’s not plugged into a wall outlet either. It’s plugged into a phone charger battery that will eventually be completely concealed in the stand. I’m guessing the charge should last for hours being left on full time.
