I don't think his standard suit is that similar to the BvS suit at all. It's noticeably darker, has all those raised armour like plates around his abs and other muscles. The cowl looks different to. I'm sticking with the BvS figure, suit is much better IMO.

If the goggles are removable there is a slim chance I may pick up the tactical suit version if I have any money left over but that would be it for Batman. My priority is getting the three JL character's HT haven't made figures for yet and black suit Supes.

Earlier, i saw a clip from ToysDaily HK in FB, they interviewed Howard Chan asking about what's new in AGC HK and SDCC, he mentioned about new stuff coming like Justice League and stuff...
Most probably they are gonna review prototypes......

Looking forward to seeing the prototypes! I hope all are on display, but at least Batman, WW, Flash, and Aquaman.

I agree totally, the tactical suit just looks like one of the Kenner toy variants from the 90's.
I don't get how they went from so simple and comic book esque in bvs to this overdesigned nonsense

Because merchandise. They need to throw in some new costume or two. Make new toys, get a truckload of money. How it looks in the movie is second thing.

The tactical suit has been growing on me. I love it for the same reasons I love The Tick.

I hate costume changes for the sake of it... Marvel do it every film for no reason other than marketing IMO... and I'd hate for DC to do that too... I know Supe's costume changed between MoS and BvS, but that was down to tweaking of the design, I don't think it's supposed to be a new suit - and from the looks of it, the suit will be the same in JL.
Batman however is the one character where it makes sense to have a change - like with the armoured suit in BvS, he is adapting it to suit the battle – the goggles are removeable, and i'm sure there will be a reason he wears them in the movie. Personally, I love the look of both costumes from JL, but don't think you can bet much better than the BvS suit - put slight longer ears on that, and there's not a super-hero costume yet to beat it!

I don't mind Bats upgrading to armour for certain situations like obviously fighting Superman without it would have been suicide but that doesn't explain why they felt the need to change his regular suit. The lighter grey was so much better than the black he's been in for the last 20 years on screen.

You're right there will obviously be a reason for the goggles, I just wish they could have designed them in a way to look a little less comical.

Maybe in the movie it will look a lot better than these screen shots. It certainly doesn't make or break the movie for me so I'm not overly bothered and like I said it will save me some cash for other figures. :lol For the Batman movie I hope he goes back to the lighter grey and maybe the cape more a midnight blue than black..that's unlikely but I can hope.

What I'm really anxious to see is Superman. What they have come up for his black suit and whether his regular suit is any brighter to reflect the more optimistic tone. I know it looks identical in on set pics but it's easy for them to tweak in post production editing, filters etc.

For Supes, despite it being minor changes, I think it would have made more sense to simply have him have his exact MoS suit again in BvS, then in JL, reveal the suit he wore in BvS and apparently wears in JL, since he will have needed a new suit due to the gaping hole in the previous one.

As for Batman, I think his overall regular suit should stay constant; perhaps some slight tweaks as they did with the Superman suit, but not much of an overhaul. Suit variations with him make sense though in this universe, since he's not just fighting crime but also extraterrestrial threats, so he'd have a different type of suit or armor that would fit the scenario.

Instant preorder for the black suit superman for me

Despite the staunch Superman fan I am, I don't believe I'd have interest in a black suited/regeneration suit (whatever turns out to be the reason for the suit) figure. Difficult to explain, but for some reason I don't feel Superman variants are needed, since Superman is Superman and he doesn't wear a black suit. Batman in this universe has different suits for different purposes, but I just don't feel the same towards Superman with needing a regeneration suit representation.

To me the black suit is an iconic part of the characters comic book history but I understand it's not for everyone. Snyder seems to like paying fan service with all the dark knight returns nods in BvS so I don't expect he'll pass up this opportunity. This is the only variant Superman needed apart from a Clark Kent figure. Speaking of which, is Clark dead for good in this universe? Struggling to think how they could bring him back after that open casket funeral. :dunno

Yeah, I've been wondering that myself. Especially with his boss and coworkers at his funeral.

Perhaps they'll consider it the death of Clark Kent and the rise of Superman, in the sense that the character will have come full circle and have full confidence and self assuredness, after now gaining the trust and the adulation of the people? Although him sacrificing himself for a world that nearly turned its back on him but he still didn't give up on it, is as "Superman" like as it can get to me.

Having super rich and influential friends will probably help with the return.

I'm in for a black suit Superman most likely. I agree that he doesn't need a lot of looks, but it's pretty iconic to me. Plus I'll have the BvS Trinity. It'll be cool to have them posed together in alternate, iconic looks- armored Batman, Training Wonder Woman, black suit Superman.

I agree I would have rather they kept the BvS standard suit, but I suppose the upgrade is in relation to the new world of Meta's that Batman finds himself in – it's not just fighting wack-jobs anymore, his foes could be 'supers' so the added armour makes sense.
Also, the goggles don't bother me as I know they will be removed and probably only be worn for a few minutes screen time - but I don't think they look comical at all... especially in a world that accepts an annoying dancing baby tree as OK!

Personally, whilst I understand the function of the black suit, it's not something I would collect. I suppose with Superman, it could be explained as the technology of the suit that dictates the colour change – as we saw in Mos, the suit seemed to be created for Kal by the ship itself, so maybe they are genetically linked to the wear, and like a mood-ring, change colour... so the happier, more optimistic Superman becomes, the brighter blue and red it is, but whilst dead/regenerating, it's black. Similarly, Zod was a war-monger, so again, Black suited his frame-of-mind.

...Also, after seeing the Tom Holland sculp that comes with the new Spidey figure – HT damn well better throw in a Bruce Wayne/Affleck sculpt in with Batman!!!

If WB don't want to, or Batfleck himself ... they can't do nothing about it.
