Damn f'n right.

As were Peter Lamont
Dennis Skotak
Robert Skotak

In the case of ALIENS.

CGI sucks. I hate it and the plasticky feel to it. I hated digital Yoda, give me the damn puppet. I'd rather see realistic 1/8 scale miniatures which is what was used alot in this film although I do feel we are closing the gap somewhat.

This one's for you, RAY!

Reminds me of the last scene in "MIGHTY JOE YOUNG", Joe waving hello to Max in the home movie. I believe Ray trained with Willis OBrien on that film. Yep, Ray was listed as a Technician in Obrien's FX Crew.

Is that your nod WG?

Thanks! I want to make some wallpapers with MaulFan with shots like that one.

I LOVE the animation shot! That is super! Now, animate him attacking some marines! :rock
Great stuff! This is now, the ALIEN INSPIRATIONAL THREAD!
HALLELUAH! :rock :D

Dammit Les, why you gotta feed my brain ideas while I'm stuck at work and can't create haha. I've got some work to do tonight :)

And we'll definitely work on wallpapers. I'm very impressed with your photography skills, looking forward to seeing your photo offerings down the road.

Great stuff guys... cool to see what a great figure can inspire in some nutty collectors :lol

The stop motion kind of reminds me of the end credits on moral orel... although or course you're not using bible toys :lol

Hey, WorGar, how long did that take you to animate? And what kind of camera did you use? Just curious.
Great stuff man. Love that. :D

Thanks you everyone! :)

I really made those GIFs just to try something different since there's been so many amazing pictures of this alien over the last few months. But I'm glad you all like it.

I think these little GIF "clips" have a lot of potential for us here.

It only took a few minutes for my very simple animation. I think there are between 22 and 28 frames. I just built the pictures into a GIF in Photoshop.

The alien is a bit awkward between his feet being so loose and other joints being so tight that its hard to keep him locked in the same position at times. Give it a try -- I'd love to see what you come up with.

More fun today...

Jabba has found a new, better, slimier Major-Domo:

Ho-Ho-HO!..................................................... HISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!

Given the alien's size, Jabba is still pretty impressive in his massiveness.

Can't wait to receive my ALIENS Warrior...next week! Oh boy!!!

Thats really true man, I remember years ago when I first started collecting figures that there were pretty much 0 good Aliens figures, you had the original Kenner (still a classic) and Medicom version. No good marines, no Ripley... just a huge void of cool stuff.

Now look what he have :google
