Personally, I don't think that there's a real need to remove the hair pieces though. I did a lot of futzing with my figure, and the hood fits fine. I sometimes interchange between a hooded and sculpted look.

No, it doesnt. You can futz for hours and its never going to look right.

His opinion is just as valid as yours onethousandmasks. In fact from looking at yours it seems as though you haven't futzed with the hood very much. Have you even attempted to remove and reattach the hood? :dunno

Very interested in seeing the results of the dyed clothes....

Just waiting for the new set of clothing to appear! I'm going to dye them black, and hopefully the little printed details will retain their colour. We'll see... Will post pics when it is done.

I've also got another head on the way to remove the hairpiece from to make the hood look better, and a gauntlet for the right hand to match his look later in the game. Lots of modding fun on the horizon! :)

The hood appears quite narrow in the game, fitting closely to the head. It shouldn't mushroom out at the top! Removing the hairpiece certainly seems to help give it that narrower look. To make the hood more roomy still I expect you have to loosen the stitching too.

I'm not disputing that his removal of the hair wasn't effective, I'm merely pointing out the fact that other methods can be employed to improve the look of the hood. I also didn't appreciate the way he essentially shouted-down another members opinion.

I agree, there is a lot of that around at the moment. I'm sure he didn't mean to come across that way though.

Finally found a pose I am going to stick with.

I have this figure and, although I know it's been addressed, I have to chime in and say that the hood on this figure is absolutely terrible! Everything else is stunning, but the botched fit on the hood completely destroys the figure's appeal. :(

I think that's a little harsh, there's an easy method to improve it's look. The hood is connected at 7 points to the outer jacket. There are 4 red stitches at the front, 2 grey stitches above those (either side of his neck) and finally 1 grey stitch at the back. If you carefully take out the 2 grey stitches either side of his neck that alone slackens the hood and allows you to manipulate it a lot more and achieve a much better look.

Found a little time to work on this guy tonight. First, made a cestus for his sword hand

Will smooth out the plates, touch up the the details and paint it up tomorrow.

Next, removed the hair piece and re-moulded the hair

This does improve the look of the hood, but will look even better with the stitching adjustment mentioned by previous posters.

Still waiting for my extra clothing set to arrive, but I've got the black dye ready. Going for the Ebony dye look from ACII.

Also got a gauntlet on the way to mod for his right arm. I hope to make the spalder (shoulder armour). Not sure if I'll make breast plates, we'll see how the costume turns out. Also hope to add the sword belt and may convert the knife pouches to 5 per side.

LOTS to do :)

All those mods you have done so far look amazing imo, especially the belt and the kestus. If I didn't know I would think they were included on the figure anyway. Brilliant job!
