Got him yesterday. I've never thought of any other 1/6 figure as a work of art as much as I do this guy. Just the detail is fantastic, including the handcrafted feathering in the hair and on the accessories. Some minor nitpicks, but if you like the movie and 1/6 it's a must own. And it's HUGE - very much to scale. If they don't make Neyteri and Quarritch I'm going to be very disappointed though.

Complete agreement on all parts. But this guy is so tall! How are y'all planning to display him? He won't fit in a detolf

You could take a shelf out & he'll fit if you want him in a Detolf. I've got a Besta Cabinet ready for mine though. My Iron Monger will be going in there to.

I love this figure. A couple of warnings though to anyone picking him up, the HT shipper box is made from different card, very very light. It rips when you lift it. So you might want to consider asking for extra wrapping. And secondly be careful with the wrist pegs, I think I have broken only 2 wrist pegs ever. And this was the second. They are quite brittle compared to normal.

Apart from that, it's beautiful. It's funny, the one major gripe that I had with the proto were the eyes. I kept saying please give us glass eyes, please give us glass eyes, like the Rango releases? Well I'm delighted they did, they make the figure IMO.
Here are a few portrait pics in natural light..

I would love if HT started making wrist pegs out of painted die-cast....so they don't break... we pay enough ($200-$400) for a figure. There has to be something better than breaking them!

Congrats Roryway!

I am eagerly awaiting word on mine.

How and where are you going to display him?

You won't be disappointed Eamon. You won't fully grasp the scale until you take him out of the box. At the moment he is back in the box. I have a new display space being finished right now, but I intend to take a shelf out of a detolf for him. :yess:

Just to give some idea of the scale:

I believe HT's Jake Sully stands around 18.5".... which equals to 9'3"... which is shorter than the average 10 feet for Navi....

Or Jake has the average female Navi height?....

Isn't that false advertising when its supposed to be 1/6 scale when its not?

I'm still impatiently waiting for my Jake to arrive as he's currently stuck in customs. I've ordered tons of Hot Toys figures from overseas and this never happens. The only other time was for 89 Joker. I can't believe my two most wanted figures this year are the only ones to get stuck in customs. Talk about bad luck.

Sully wasn't an average sized Navi. He was a short assed Navi, because Sully was a short human. The other male Navi were taller than him.
The figure is in scale.

:slap:lol

While I have yet to receive, the scale as reported is accurate. If you rewatch the movie or read the wiki you will note that human/Na'vi hybrids are shorter and slightly bulkier than indigenous Na'vi. They also have five fingers and toes, smaller eyes, and a couple of other differences I can't remember right now. That's why HT would have to retool the body for TsuTey or other male Na'vi. I would like to see a native Jake though, as opposed to just final battle.

And once again, Neytiri needs to be announced already.

The scale feels right, it doesn't look like Jake is selling that well, so I'm not holding out hope for an AMP suit to compare it too though. Yes, Neyteri would need a whole new body tooled - but if they can make the "Bat" they can do just about anything.
