They are certainly getting their money's worth from that face sculpt. This is the third go-round.

The hair looks a bit small for the face in that pic, might just be lens distortion though. It's not looking great overall, but this ROTJ face sculpt is leaps ahead of their previous OT Luke sculpt - farmboy Luke. While the battle damaged head from the DX7 is superior (still the best OT Luke sculpt to me,) this head looks more like Hamill than the non-battle damage DX7 head does.

He must just have a tough likeness to sculpt. Apart from the old man version, I haven't seen any company or custom artist really nail him that I can think of.

Is it just me or is literally just the clean DX07 figure with an ROTJ head (and different hair)?

The battle damaged DX07 still wins for me... hopefully this is all very prototype though, like the TLJ Luke reveal that used the old sculpt and barely had a finished tunic.

Totally new outfit, ROTJ head with new eyes and hairpiece. Clothes look better than DX to me (cut/sew looks tighter) but boots don't look anywhere near as good.

Bizarre they used the old DX base.

I think it looks decent. It’s great for those who didn’t get the DX07. I’m curious to see what kind of accessories will come with this to make owners of the DX to repeat purchase. The head looks ok. I’m also curious to see if the hair sculpt will be interchangeable with the Jedi Luke.

Zero need for this. Especially if it's PERS again. The PERS makes the original on look ghoulish to me...this one's not much better.

The DX07 base and ROTJ headsculpt makes this feel like something they threw together really fast for SDCC. As if all they had completed so far was the clothing, but they wanted to show it anyway.

And I recant my previous belief about the sleeves. They look a bit short as well to where the wrist joint is exposed when you bend the arm.

It's true about the new hairpiece being made for it. Maybe they are going with the ROTJ face for the prod fig.

And yeah, it's a tricky outfit to get cut-sew right on. Sleeves are either too baggy-long or so short you see the wrist ball joints. And it's a weird top on the Bespin outfit - almost like one of those short girl's tops that shows the belly area.

Yeah, even though it’s my favorite Luke look, I always thought that jacket was a bit odd. It’s like a tight-fitting crop top jacket, so like you said, I’d imagine it’s a bit difficult to get cut-sew spot on.

Didn't the RotJ sculpt have the magnetic hair piece. That makes even more sense that they use this face sculpt here and retool just the hair.

Better be PERS or I'm out. Sideways look has its place but definitely reduces the flexibility of the possible poses.

I’d like to bet the production figure will have an all new head sculpt and hair piece. This kinda reminds me of what they did with Hobo Luke where it was shown at a con with TFA Luke’s head, then brand new head on PO. I’d be very surprised if they just reissued the old sculpt.

Yes, the RotJ sculpt(s) has a magnetic hair piece. Come to think of it, every OT Luke sculpt has a magnetic hair piece.
