Does anyone else think the shield on the HT is a bit smaller than it should be?

Looks fine here.

:dunno

Could be, but thats a rather dumb name. He doesn't exactly have a villian costume. :cuckoo:

Its a given we'll get another Cap. Whether its another from this film or just from the Avengers is the only question. If its just Avengers, WWII costume would be a better choice. If we are getting that other costume, I'm not sure what a good name would be, but hero costume sure isn't it.

In movie parlance "Hero" means the main one of anything. A "hero" model would be the one with all the details for up close shooting. A "hero" weapon would be one that fires, lights up, etc. In this case it means the main costume he wears in the movie as opposed to a modern costume (if he wears that) or the USO costume.

Otherwise, I absolutely LOVE the figure.

was just looking at that...I'd say yes its slightly smaller, but I am not going to whine about it :)

I wish I had photoshop skills just to have him stand with the Iron Man and Thor figures:monkey2 My sig isn't good enough anymore

Hmm, not bad. The uniform is really well done and I love that shield. The likeness isn't too great though, but that isn't the selling point for a Captain America figure.

It isnt too great, because they are just using their secondary sculptor to handle this project:

造形師:GOX
チーフ造形師:KOJUN
チーフペインター:JC・ホン

Gox's sculpt aint too accurate. But with JC Hong's paint, it'll be good.:clap

I'm hoping I'm wrong about the movie, because it looks awful.

Because I think either way I'm going to have to get this. It looks fantastic so far.

My jaw just hit the floor. This figure is an insta-buy. And Thor just arrived today! Now where's my Hot Toys Hulk??? A guy can dream, right??

stupid noobish question I know but where do you guys think is the best place to preorder? I've never actually preordered a figure, I always end up paying like double for when it comes out early because I'm a very impatient boy.

Sideshow, BBTS, Viking Playground, Cornerstore Comics, and Alter Ego are all solid in my experience. My inclination is to go with Sideshow or BBTS. Neither has cancellation fees (well, Sideshow sometimes does with the NRD, but usually they don't with HT figures unless you order more than one or something). Sideshow has the best customer service in the business. BBTS has the "Pile of Loot" so you can save on shipping.

Thanks guys, come to think of it, I'm an idiot :slap I've used razoredgecollectibles before and there relatively close to me so I think I'm going to go there.
