They seem to be sent out to bloggers, reviewers and hardcore collectors known to the Toy Hunters store. I'd love to use the diary, but sadly I'm too **** and need to keep it pristine! Have to admit I'm a sucker for this kind of package, and the production/ finish is beautiful.
That's what I was thinking. But hey, if HT can convince folks that marketing material is a gift, then power to them
Got mine on Friday as well. Its a nice little treat ,but I don't think they'll ever beat the year (3 or 4 years ago) when they sent us a prototype of the Advanced body (with the then unreleased TT 18 head). That was a pretty sweet gift that year. The pin set was another cool one with the 1:6 scaled TT 
Last year as a bit meh, but free stuff not given to everyone is always cool to get.
But I haven't managed to get a Sideshow Calendar yet this year. Usually I end up with like 2 or 3!

Yeah those truetypes were a really cool treat for those who got them, I almost bought one off ebay for a 100 bucks that year, then I came to my sences
They should have sent out the advanced muscle body with an exclusive head this year, that would have caused a lot of jealousy, though I would be the one who was jealous as hot toys don't send me x-mas present

Considering is basically a press kit for the people on their press list, it makes more sense than the figure. But as a collector, figures will always be cooler than a press kit. But I'm happy with it

I won one of these from a facebook contest they held recently. Kind of a cool keepsake journal/planner that I would never use, but I was a little disappointed that it wasn't an actual HT product of some kind. I haven't afforded an HT figure for my own collection in quite a while, so it would have been incredibly awesome to win one for free regardless of what it was.
Not sure what I'll do with this yet, I really don't see myself keeping it. Thinking of auctioning it and donating whatever it goes for to a charity, since it was good fortune that brought it to me I'd like to pass that on.

Wow. What a noble thing to do. You don't see that much anymore. More people like you in the world would make it a much better place.
