I loved how it painted him as a monster, from the slow walk, never quite showing his face to the scene with the meat hooks. Those first four episodes in particular were incredible.

Yeah those first four were just fantastic. Frank's scenes remained the highlight throughout the rest of the season, too.

I just didn't like how the show didn't give Punisher his trademark skull until the last epsiode. They really didn't need to explain why he wears a skull. The whole explaination sub plot was unecessay imo. Just have him wear his skull from his introduction would've been perfectly fine.

Disagree completely. His arc was perfect, made complete sense to have him pull on the skull when he did.

They didn't give Daredevil his suit the same as they didn't give Castle his suit.

It's to establish character, motivation and provide depth as opposed to "hey here it is." Same with Elektra.

Nope. It was totally fine and cool in the same time. I never saw any movie or read any comics about Punisher so as first timer i liked the origin of his skull a lot.

I dig these super soap operas for many reasons, and that the writers take the time to show us a costume origin is one of them. In this case, Frank uses the x-ray of his head injury as inspiration for his vest design. To me, it's like Frank became more unstable because of the head trauma, and now he's not only accepting it, he's made it his badge.

WOW!!! He looks amazing!!! I love DD and JJones, but i wasn't going to get the figures. But if they make Jessica Jones, i have to get DD and The Punisher. And would love Elektra too. Just when i thought i was done with Marvel, they pushed me back in. LoL :lol

Your opinion is perfectly valid too. The thing for me is, that rooftop scene where Punisher met DD for the first time, that was almost straight out of the comics in Welcome Back Frank, so for it to follow that closely to the comic but having Punisher not being the Punisher yet, and just as Frank Castle is weird to me. Also, if you guys really want to read a GREAT Punisher origins story, check out Punisher Year One. It shows how after Frank's family got killed, he did not immediately snap and turn vigilante. He tried to get the police to help him and everything. It's only after the system failed him and his dead family not getting justice, he finally snapped. It's a really good story.

I'm not a Punisher fan, although I enjoyed his story line in Daredevil Season 2, I'm not interested in his own series. So I will pass on this myself. But, with that said, I am happy to see what looks to be a great figure for those who love the character. Looks like a fantastic representation, and I hope it sells well and encourages more figures from the "Defenders" and other TV shows to be made.
If you are not a fan don't post on the thread [emoji6]

I really dig that idea, in the comics wasn't it almost a target for the bad guys?
Yes, but that was a retcon, similar to Batman saying that he wears the yellow oval to attract bullets. It was just a cool, stylistic decision initially, when he didn't even wear armor.

I think is cracked DD mask as an EX accessory would be cool...or maybe an armory a'la batman
You can see him holding the cracked mask in the computer shot.

Isn't there a promo shot from the show of Bernthal holding the cracked mask?
It's from the promotional shots which is what they seem to be basing the figure on. Which is why he comes with the gatling gun.

Think they'd make a whole new body for Luke? Guy was big, like huge but not like any of the other bodies HT's made.

Business wise, they probably only make new bodies that he can reuse on for variants of that figure or that they can use on other characters. I don't think Cage would get more than one edition.
