I had a dream the other day that they'd released a special 3-pack of X-Wing Filoni, Chow, and Famuyiwa. I reckon that's how Howard gets his ideas, in dreams. That's the only way to explain those zombified efforts they were putting out a while back.

Right, so let's have a go at some May 4th predictions. They will do something for sure, it might not be what we all want but they'll do it. The closest prediction wins a free Hulkbuster from Hoody. So, I'll start first with...

1) Bad Batch licence announced
2) One (and only one) of the Bad Batch teased (Wrecker or Echo)
3) A Clone Trooper announcement (I reckon ordinary white phase 2 clone)
4) Tarkin re-release

or

1) Bad Batch licence announced

I'll go with

1). Clone Wars Kenobi. They need to get that out before the series starts.
2). Commander Gree. Just cause I like that look and it'd go with Yoda.
3). Depending on his involvement in Bad Batch I'd agree with re-Tarkin, also because I'd want another chance to get him at retail.
4). Cyborg.....because it's Hot Toys were dealing with here. They had a grand opening of Echo-Base store with not a Star Wars figure to be seen.

There's definitely a touch of John Cena in the sculpt but Hoody assures me she looks way better in the Secret Base video.

I'm thinking Season 3 or even 4 will delve way deeper into Mandalorian culture and Mando vs Bo Katan. I think there will definitely be a couple more from both sides. Especially without headsculpts.

Anyone think we'll get a plethora of Star Wars figures this coming May 4th ? Normally I'm in the camp that Hot Toys don't respect Star Wars anniversaries art all, however I was reminded recently that last year was a departure from that with many being announced.

To quote Captain Trips

1) Clone Wars licence announced
2) ESB 40th anniversary line announced
3) Captain Rex teased (released one week later)
4) 501st Clone Trooper teased
5) 40th anniversary Vader ''re-issued''
6) Vintage Boba Fett announced
7) ESB Boba Fett re-issued (I'm not sure on this one, maybe it was just the Vintage one)

Maybe if that went well they'll do something similar this year too ?

Considering the shows that are planned to come out at the end of this year and going into next year. Book of Boba, Cassian, Obi Wan, Mando S3, etc they better use the time now to announce some OT and PT figures. Otherwise they won't have any time until at least this time next year.

Wow, the ESB 40th Anniversary line was a huge bust, IMO. So disappointing.

Nah, they'll be using it as a plot device. It's a picture of Padme and the twins, with a burnt limbless Vader underneath, with the caption ''who's your daddy now?!''

Not sure about that, Lando and Snowspeeder Luke are very special additions to the line. If It hadn't been for Luke's appearance in The Mandalorian I'm sure we'd also have Bespin Luke by now. Technically they can milk the ESB 40th anniversary line until 2023 when the ROTJ anniversary milking commences. Of course, we'd all love the likes of Veers, Lobot, a Tauntaun, and the Wampa, but not sure they were ever going to be realistic options. Some of the ESB bounty hunters will likely turn up in Book of Boba, so they're not a priority for the ESB line. I could definitely see an ESB Yoda re-release, hopefully in some kind of deluxe set with his hut, along with Bespin Luke. Hoth Luke they'll definitely make down the line, just maybe not so soon. As for ESB Han, I think that comes down to Harrison Ford being a bit of an awkward ungrateful **** rather than Hot Toys' desire to make it.

As the Captain has said I also don't think ESB 40th is necessarily limited to a year. They can slap that sticker on any ESB figure for years to come.

But yes the OT hasn't seen so much love recently. Who was the last Lando ??
