I think I'm the only person who isn't bothered about Mando Luke. He looks far too similar to ROTJ Luke for my liking. That's why I find his look on that poster more exciting, even if it is only fanart. Although the similarities to his TFA outfit are a little disturbing. I hope when they inevitably bring him back on Disney+ they change his look from the ROTJ look to more in line with his Dark Empire look.

Im actually kind of dismayed by this new art. It gives me the feeling we're not going to Mandalore after all, that we're going to keep on bEing Grogu-centric and my heart is sad. I do hope Im wrong. Is Luke about to be a main character? This is not the way.

Dont get me wrong i love Grogu and i dont want him to completely vanish, was just hoping for a new direction.

Fan art can still be officially licensed, I see it happen all the time, people make something then the licensor decides they want to sell it officially. It doesn't necessarily mean it's representative of what's to come, I highly doubt this is some teaser for Season 3, it's just some art someone made for Comic Con.

Wonder when they will bring this guy out again ? Guess they just wanted to "leak" that they were in fact continuing with the team.

As much as the show is lagging a lot, i'm sure it'll pick up pace soon. Those Cad Bane episodes were cool at least.

Don't expect that Dark Empire Luke anytime soon. In that Howard interview, it didn't sound like it was possible for him to make it. I think he would've by now if he could. Why there isn't an announced Disney+ or Lucasfilm movie with Sebastian Stan as Luke just shows the stupidity at work at the top. A few minutes cameo of Luke broke the internet, you know what the people want. I still think KK hates the OT characters.

BB seems to be running out of gas and we got Suicide Squad, Venom and other Marvel movies coming. I'll buy them if they are released though!

I really don’t understand this fan cast though, he barely resembles Mark outside of that overly shopped image. Plus there’s no guarantee he’d pull off the performance.

I’m sure it’s (the Luke show) in the works. They may be waiting until the end of Book of Boba or Mando season 3 (rumoured to be coming Spring 2022) to tease/announce it. It’s probably just the way it’s going to be with this Mandoverse from now on. I could definitely see Favreau drawing on that Dark Empire Luke look for future appearances. I’m sure it’s something he’s grown up with, and he clearly has a love of the EU, so I see him going that way. I think he probably wanted to keep his look in the Mando cameo as close to his ROTJ look as possible to play off nostalgia. The more I look at that Comic Con poster the less I like it, as the costume is reminding me too much of the ST.

Btw Lucasfilm just hired that Youtube Deepfake guy, Shamook, which is a very interesting move by them. I hope that doesn’t mean we’ll be seeing more cgi Luke, it’s time to get Sebastian Stan in.

A present day Lucasfilm Luke show is likely to be a complete disaster. The people in charge hate the character. Disney being Disney it will probably happen eventually though. Might as well recruit Kevin Smith to run the project.

As cool as that look is I doubt Luke would ever wear that for fun. It was only practical for the Dark Empire comic.

It does kind of have a bit of 1980s big shoulder pads fantasy hero look about it. Maybe it's something that looks great in the comics and wouldn't translate too well into live-action. Okay, you talked me out of it haha.

I think an inspired costume could work great. I was just saying the Vader homage seems out of place for Grand Master Luke. It worked for the story and context of Dark Empire however, 80s/90s shoulder pads included.

I liked the Jedi robes that Luke wore at the end of TFA. It was rather holy looking. I wonder what JJ would've done with him, but I'm sure it would still be disappointing.
