It's pretty wierd considering all the storm troopers they have made that they've never touched an OG Tie Pilot.

They probably made the false assumption that people didn't want it after that Tie Pilot from Force Awakens didn't sell so well. As cool as it looked imo.

I just realized HT are making/made most of the characters from the Mando S2 finale:

- Shinier armor Mando + Grogu
- Bo Katan
- Koska
- Repaint Armor Boba Fett
- Fennec
- Luke
- Moff Gideon
- Dark Troopers
- Stormtroopers (the ST Commander figure can have the pauldron removed for a regular look lol)
- R2D2 (albeit from AOTC)

(CD is missing of course.)

Yep, Mando is the cash cow for Star Wars at the moment. But question is will they do anything like that for Andor ? Probably not.

But considering there is a S2 already coming, Hot Toys should consider those figures that people have already mentioned. Cassian, Saw (should he turn up this season), Mon Mothma, Luthern and some trooper or other.

Those troopers we've seen look too similar to Mud Troopers, so I'd put money on them doing a different type like the Tie Fighter pilot.

the real barrier to them making the new troopers is they don't tend to want to make "generic" headsculpts. Non main characters. They didn't even really make a mud trooper. They made Han Solo in mudtrooper outfit.

If we get anything with a human face resembling one of those imperial troopers it will probably just be Cassian in disguise. Which if thats all we get for a Cassian would kinda suck honestly...

Give me anything and everything because not only do I love Andor as a whole, but episode 6 is some of the best Star Wars I've experienced.

I hope Hot Toys makes at least a few figures from the show.
After that scene in episode 6, all I can say is .....

This is definitely not Lucas' Star Wars, but Star Wars for adults.

It was, at one point. Nothing but respect for Lucas but the universe lost a bit of that hard edge as the years went on.

The show brings us back to some of the original space western aspects of the OT, alongside many other genres it’s been navigating very well.

Same with Death Star Trooper. It is really a bummer they will not make any trooper with the face.

Same with Hoth Rebel Trooper my most wanted Hot Toys figure. :gah:

Yeah, I saw "The Normies" reaction review on YouTube and the one guy instantly said Solo shot first.
I was thinking more in the sense of fun and dialogue.....should have elaborated. Lucas of course stated that his series was for kids, even though arms, heads were cut off or people were shot. Where Andor is concerned, I am guessing that children may not have as much interest in a series that is so serious.

Honestly, I see what they're getting at, but they're two different moments. Han in ANH is being held at gunpoint already. He knows the score. He shoots Greedo or he's getting hauled back to Jabba.

Cassian on the other hand is the only one to draw. He listens to the offer put on the table and knows he won't accept it. His realization that turning it down will likely mean conflict leads him to pull before he even gives an answer. Its so well done. Especially him knowing Vel will freak out and that he needs to be armed for this next conversation.

So true MyenShi. After Disney had the rights, some things were toned down. It almost seems they (D) are better off with entirely new stories with new characters. Hopefully Andor ends on a high note and we can benefit with characters that are engaging and figures that we will want.

Yes ArtDamage....It was just the expression on Andor's face that did it for me. No mercy and pure disgust. Also seeing how he shot that security guard from the bar in the first episode? Right in the face. He is ruthless and I love it.(y)

Somehow more ruthless than the bounty hunter *cough*Boba*cough* that has a reputation for being ruthless.

Fair, yeah. But I’m glad the show doesn’t hold anything back and is sometimes just brutal as the setting dictates, along with being a slow burn political thriller and just taking it’s time as a character study.

The Prequel Trilogy political subplots should’ve been done like this make them more interesting.

After Disney had the rights, some things were toned down.

The PT and TCW could get dark sometimes but arguably there was a tonal shift before Disney like the odd slapstick and juvenile humor of the PT, Han not shooting first, and Vader’s weird noooo in ROTJ.

Absolutely loved everything about the episode and I’m glad that scene went down the way it did. A lot to unpack about what was going on in Cassian’s head.

Interesting to think Skeen might not have died if more of the others had made it. He just saw an opportunity he couldn’t resist. That opportunity wouldn’t have been on the table if at least Gorn, Taramyn, or Nemik had made it out unscathed.

He wasn’t evil but was a complication that Cassian put an end to before it could happen. Perfectly in character.
