How cool would it be if they made a Mon Mothma figure, and the base was her senate platform?

They'd probably have to shrink it down some or just cut it in half but that would look epic, especially if it lit up. Really liked her outfit when she meets Luthrin. Obviously a pivotal character for Star Wars

She'd be a pretty amazing looking figure.

For her clothing alone I think Hot Toys would want to create a figure of her because it's something totally different.

I would LOVE for them to make a Mon Montha figure just to see the meltdown from everyone wanting Padme:lol

Mom mothma from andor, fine. But make a deluxe set with the rotj sculpt and dress. Boom, sell a ton of her.
Ok, they definitely won’t sell a ton of her, but I would buy it. Has to count for something.

"Mon Mothma: In Andor, Genevieve O’Reilly’s galactic senator secretly leads an uprising against the Empire. Cassian Andor: Diego Luna stars as a man who believes in nothing but eventually risks everything to aid the Rebellion. Andor premieres late summer 2022."

Those hoping to fill out their Rogue One cast are going to have to settle for a new look for Andor.
Though season might end with him officially joining the Rebellion (and getting closer to his R1 look).
I'd be more than happy with these two looks for Mothma & Andor from the photo-shoot.

As far as Andor's Rogue One look, would love to have it to pose with Jyn and K2.
As indicated maybe towards the end of season 2.
Although when we first meet Andor in R1 he isn't in his regular Rebel Officer Uniform, but in Ring of Kafrene assassin look, "leather: jacket, satchel, actually a pretty slick look.

While Gilroy indicates his final look could be the Ring of Kafrene, ...
Gilroy - “Yeah, I mean, our final scene of the show is no secret; it’s going to be [Cassian] walking across the tarmac to get in the ship to go to the Rings of Kafrene

Likely by that point he will already have been embedded with the Rebellion, so I imagine he will have appeared in his Rebel uniform first, and possibly the new excuse for his R1 look figure.

Gilroy - "The last 3 episodes from season 2 happens 5 days before the beginning of Rogue One"

Actually photo shoots give a pretty good indication of the main players in the show. Plus if Disney has any say with Hot Toys (which I think is defintely the case, then they'll be pushing for a strong female to be part of the merchandise push), so I reckon a HT Mon Mothma has a pretty good chance imo.

Well with tonight's Andor
KX droids making an appearance as well as shore troopers with a bit of different deco and a new pistol.

Shoretrooper would make a decent exclusive I suppose. Though the latest 2 they clearly made a bunch of as they've hung around on sideshow.

Never underestimate the power of repaint. HT loves "new" troopers and easy money.

True. And here were were thinking the OG Tie Pilot could be something. Could still be I guess, but that's a "lot" more work for Hot Toys.....

It should be about time to see at least one figure from Andor at this point....

Also, when Cassian was hiding on his "home" planet (forgot the name) there were two stormtroopers, with at least one of them wearing a backpack. Seeing the popularity (and rarity) of the Jedha patrol troopers, we might see them in figure form.

While I'm enjoying it, one of my only gripes of the show is that it doesn't entirely feel or look like Star Wars. It's often more just "Sci-Fi" or "Bladerunnerish".

It really takes me out of it sometimes. Clearly a lot of UK real world sets repurposed, which I guess they did do for Rogue One in a couple of scenes. I guess budgets are tight for Disney+ shows.

......and what are all those scenes with the guy who lost his job and his mum ??

I had that only during the earlier episodes. With the Empire becoming more visible and mobilised during the last couple of episodes it really feels like Star Wars again for me.
And that's funny, because that was my biggest gripe after the first 3 episodes. It looked and felt like generic sci-fi, but seeing how events are unfolding it's so logical and natural to have the first episodes feel that way. It really is great storytelling. I am really looking forward to start the show again after the finale to watch it in one or two sittings.

yep, of all the Star Wars shows this probably has the most re-watchability to pick up on things perhaps missed on the first watching.

Faverau's writing isn't as deep as Gilroy's.

The first three episodes for me felt slow in pace, but looking back at it, I feel I was just impatient to let the plot unfold. It might have been better to watch all twelve episodes in succession or split them at episode 6 (in my case).

All in all, some of us naturally gravitate to certain aspects of the Star Wars universe and might subconsciously expect to view things we are accustomed to. You are right where the storytelling is concerned. The script, character development, acting, special effects, just overall story is unfolding to be one of, if not, Disney's best streaming property.

I would love the Gilroy's to have a crack at a trilogy.....maybe an Old Republic storyline?

As for Hot Toys, I definitely can see a variant shoretrooper now and the K/Enforcer droid selling a bit more.

As cool as that would be... I think I might be done for a bit with force, lightsaber, Jedi and Sith shenanigans. I think Disney would be wise to keep Gilroy on the payroll and give him full control on projects like Andor, that take place outside of the more magical aspects of Star Wars.

For example a show about competing podracing teams, illegal ways to win, shady back alley deals, gambling, the whole gritty aspect around it, with occasionally a thrilling race thrown in.

I would buy into something like that. I must admit that I had a bit of hesitation accepting content that wasn't from George or something that wasn't Lucas approved. I really thought that I would have hated the Clone Wars content for instance, but it did such a good job of adding or improving the value of the prequels, while incorporating new ideas all around. Like others have stated about the Andor series, it adds to the Rogue One movie.

Maybe you should do your own script The Entity and sell it as either reading material or as a series/movie to view.(y)
