Lots of R1 gushing and it’s a good film for sure but it has plenty of plot holes/issues.

Bor Gullet doesn’t have long term consequences for Bodhi.
Saw just gives up instead of leaves with the heroes when there’s time.
The concept of the Guardians on Jedha isn’t well explained or why Chirrut and Baz have drastically different outfits and fighting styles.
Jyn suddenly becomes an inspiring leader - a bit jarring and sudden.
Jyn leaves the recording of the evidence behind and there’s not a copy.
Hope, hope, hope - a bit overused by the end of the movie.
The movie detracts from ANH because Vader literally sees the Tantive IV leave the Battle over Scarif and still Leia acts clueless when boarded. Prior to this she could easily claim plausible deniability in supporting the Rebellion.
Why didn’t the Alliance have any Mon Cal ships at the Battle of Yavin.

I love this movie but it’s not perfect. Great designs and unique perspective of war and of course hinting at the grey area of the Rebellion. Death Troopers are the best design troopers possibly in the entire saga and an ending where the heroes die is poignant and strangely uplifting.

Bor gullet was frankly a bit pointless and it’s presence adds nothing for me anyway
Saw was done. He had nothing left. That was fine except he felt like he needed more before he was done.
Guardians? Agree
Jyn was originally going to be more experienced I believe and I think that wasn’t dealt with to well when they changed it
But she finds belief and uses it
Vader actually seeing the ship leave is a bit of a mixed bag but for that corridor scene I’ll take it. ��


We need a cassian. Defo.

And boba. Lots of boba.

They have a soft spot for money, and Rogue One is a guaranteed cash cow. The same with The Mandalorian and Clone Wars. I bet in retrospect they wished they'd kept the line going a little longer into 2017, and given half the TLJ slots to RO. That's why I'd never discount them dropping random Rogue One figures over the coming few years. They must be aware of how special the film is to the fanbase. I still think the chances of eventually seeing Baze are quite high (they must see the Baze Facebook comments under every release), and perhaps the Tank Trooper, and RO Cassian also have a chance. I'll go as far as to say we'll see more Rogue One releases in the next 3 years than we will the entirety of the sequel trilogy combined.

I regret passing on Chirrut myself. He was by far the most likeable and interesting person in R.O. IMO. And that HT version was FIYAH. He was gorgeous. And I've been known to buy stuff just because its cool, even if I dont know much about the character. [Ok, burn the heretic! I know...]

Unfortunately, Chirrut was gone long before I got around to that, or back into SW in general. My loss.

You and I can take heart, tho. Between Mando and "Book of.... Return of the King," we gonna be pleeeeeenty poor as it is.

Yep I'd get them all. Cassian definitely needs that Parka outfit, looks a bit bare bones otherwise.

Nope normal figure. But a special Asian style box, similar to Deluxe Jyn.

Potentially the same old issue. People not wanting to commit to one figure unless they see the logical pair not being made.

Hot Toys continually fails to see that this has a direct impact on sales of both figures.

I think re collecting folks should buy what they like...but yeah, between all the Disney series am desperately trying to keep the POs reined in. LOL this is why I didn't want to get on the slippery slope of SW collecting...

Someone can correct me on this but my understanding as to why Hot Toys did not go as deep into the Rogue One line is because of the failure that was The Force Awakens line. I mean I still think there might be TFA figures on Sideshow available, or at least there was not long ago.

I think they were pretty confident with troopers and Vader that they would sell. Jyn is the main character, K2S0 unique design, Chirrut maybe because he is played by a prominent Chinese actor in Donnie Yen...but it took a long time for Krennic. I have always thought any figure with a face sculpt takes longer for many reasons (rights, complexity, more nuanced) and is a bit more of an investment in time and maybe money.

I think if they had released most of Rogue One at or around the time the movie came out than they would have had sold really well. And that includes more tertiary characters like two-tubes or the AT-ACT pilot. Even for Sideshow...they really should have jumped on this movie even now.

Now with the release of the ShoreTroopers does that mean we might get more Rogue One releases? Well it was easy for the ShoreTrooper since it was in Mando plus the high demand for the figure. I can see them revisiting both the tank trooper (already have developed the helmet with Mando Transport Trooper) and part of me thinks the AT-ACT pilot is possible since he is basically a ShoreTrooper white repaint with a bit different decals. I think they might even be Summer exclusives but we will see.

Cassian Andor of course will have his own show and HTs would be foolish to not release him at that point. Whether they release a Rogue One version is up in the air depending on how different Andors looks are in the show/attire. But you know how HTs love to reuse head sculpts haha.

Saw Gerrara and Baze Malbus really should get released. I mean they would look so unique in a collection. All of Rogue One blends perfectly with OT figures and especially these two. Bohdi is probably the least likely of the Rogue One crew.

I just hope HTs doesn?t treat RO like a flavour of the month SW film but like a classic as in the OT. The ST, Solo are flavour of the months...release a lot around movie release but never revisit. Rogue One needs to be completed.

Honestly, the chances for baze and a rogue one cassian are slim. With ot, pt, clone wars, and mando figures to be made, hot toys have their hands full with Star Wars, let alone marvel, dc, and making sure a new iron man, Spider-Man, and venomized figure get a release each month.
But for me, my top five list of wanted figures always includes cassian and baze.

No doubt the Cassian Andor show team will use familiar troopers from Rogue One, Mandalorian and Solo. It totally makes sense. Not only from a timeline in-world point of view, but I wouldn't be surprised if outfits and helmets etc would be kept from Mando S2 for other uses like Cassian etc.

Baze might be a bit of a lottery I think. If HT see's a positive link between Cassian and Rogue One there might be a small chance. Of course we'll need to campaign on FB for him leading up to and during the Cassian show to show our interest. Unfortunately there is no other way.

Personally I disagree. R1 is my favourite Disney era film, but I'd take a Glover Lando over Saw or Baze any day of the week and twice on the weekend. Solo was a great film and I was totally against it when they announced it. I still want Cassian most from R1 though.

Is there no Hot Toys C3PO? I can only find a Sideshow version?

Wish I'd been collecting Star Wars when the OT R2 was released, now its very expensive on eBay. Same with Hoth Leia.

As much as I'm loving the Mando figures it would be nice if they'd not entirely neglect the OT. Need Bespin Han and Luke and where is that Clone Wars Obi Wan they showed ages ago.
