While I am disappointed, I am not panicking, yet.

I hardly ever panic at pics. If when I have it in hand and I dont like it, then I may complain and then sell it. But I dont see a point in about some pics.

Oh and while it doesnt look as good as the Proto, Im still going to love this release.


EDIT: We see this SAME SONG AND DANCE WITH EVERY NEW RELEASE. Amateur photos taken and

"EVERYONE LOSES THEIR MINDS!!!". Havent we learned yet??

He looks really plastic and shiny, and the paint work is terrible!

How the f%@k did they go from that amazing prototype to this?

I am now wondering if I have $300 to waste on that.

yes... I'm sure IT just some crapy pictures. Light and angles are horrible... let's wait for some more profesional photos, but as far as I can see, It's no so far from the prototipe figure.

I have to point out that these softness that you guys speak off are not really there in person. Sculpt that are so called soft i.e Red Skull, Rescue Cap, etc, looks really good in person. But problem is, most cameras have trouble capturing the detail. Most digital camera these days have noise reduction software and tends to mistake fine detail as grain and noise and will cancel them out.

I wager that if you capture in raw mode, you will see the fine detail better.

The last soft sculpt that I actually encounter from HT is the Odin figure. That one is disappointing.

Hottoys does not care about the product they put out anymore, they might as well just use lead paints on there figures from now on! Isn't the purpose of a prototype to improve upon it? That final reveal falls way off the mark/likeness.

Every single HT releases passed through my hands and the problem of soft sculpt is not there. In fact, the paint job has been improving every release. One of the highlight recently is the Gordon and Peter Parker.

Then again, maybe you do see something that most can't since you actually see a Hamill likeness in the UU Luke and I for the life of me (and countless customers) can't.

There's no way I'll be cancelling this, as it will be the best Luke on the market even if the pics speak the absolute truth (doubtful). That being said, I'm disheartened to see the rumors about the new sculpt material appear to be true, and I'm downright angry that PERS has so negatively affected yet another iconic character.

Agreed for the most part. But there are physical deformities at work here that wouldn't look out of place in Prometheus. Especially round the eyes.

Whoa, those pics really make the sculpt look terrible!

I'm really hoping it's the lighting, but I'm thinking this is how it will end up looking in hand, just like Indy.

On the bright side, everything else, including the lightsaber hilt (looks like real brushed steel!), looks great.

What's the point of bringing up the bloody UU Luke figure in here again? Ever since I bought the bloody thing and posted pics of it I got this type of assinine behaviour, again and again and from this ***, it has nothing to do with this thread, and to bring it up like that reads to me as aggressive and ***-like. I really have had it with HT fan-boys. But anyone who thinks the UU Luke is worse than this needs their ****ing heads seeing to.
