I still haven't hung mine from the ceiling because I don't think the screws are long enough to dig into the joyce. Seems like they barely penetrate the drywall clean through.

I don't know how long your screw has to be to penetrate Joyce, but typical ceiling drywall is only 1/2" thick of you want to hit the joist.

At this point it seems Hot Toys is waiting on completing the Platoon line of figures before they get to the rest of Star Wars. In other words the HT Star Wars line is lying face down in the water starting to decompose.

Definitely done with all of those.... except I will likely get Bank Robber Joker since I never got that release. I am avoiding the expansion of my Dark Knight Batman collection because in the grand scheme of things.... I will not want that to be a majority of my collection. I do hope Hot Toys comes out with Star Wars releases soon, it would be a real shame for them not to! It doesn't help that the Luke Skywalker DX was so incredibly done... it makes you yearn for more.
I'm afraid we 'll mostly get sequel and spin-off figures from HT though. I'd love them to prove me wrong but i have a feeling we won't see much (if any) prequel or original trilogy figures. in the near future.

Depends if their license changes. Originally they were only permitted to do versions of characters Sideshow had already done.
Crossing fingers HT DO get to produce Star Wars figures from all eras but, based on how they handled the GI Joe licence (releasing only movie characters and leaving all other options to SSC) i could see them focusing their attention on characters benefiting from heavy media exposure only.

That's the thing. The HT Luke and the Bandai C-3PO are the best figures by far and none of those companies will release any more figures. If it is because they don't want to or aren't allowed to seems unclear. Oh, the irony of it all.

They never did - the figure was sub-licenced via Sideshow, who has their license via Hasbro.

That's what I say to everyone who complains about Hot Toys not making a bunch of Star Wars figures. It's not really their thing, it's sideshows.
