To me that would be a fair price. Unfortunately, everyone thinks it is mid to upper 600s to 800s on Ebay--of course they are sitting there and not moving.

Keep your eyes open. You occasionally see one for close to $500. I got mine back in January for about that price and it was new.

Do you Hot Toys would ever do a non-DX version of Bespin Luke with the same head sculpt and costume, but without the moveable eyes? It would also be great if the neck had more articulation.

I'd love to see a non DX Bespin head that was separate from the neck. The PERS gets in the way of a ball jointed neck.

How so? I think there are other PERS figures that have a ball jointed head, like Indy. I figured they just like to be able to hide the neck seam when the outfit allowed for it--like Obi-Wan, but maybe they're taking into account his old man neck there. Leia might have been a good candidate for that too.

If they do another Bespin Luke with the likely inevitable ESB line, I doubt they would recycle the same sculpt from the DX07.

Yes. They would need to redo the pers mechanism. As it is right now it would be in the way of a ball joint.

Is there any way of telling the BD body and the regular body apart? They both look identical to me. I've been trying to do a swap with the farm boy sabre arm and got completely mixed up.

Assuming the guy I rebought the regular Luke from didn't swap the body without telling me. :dunno

Thanks. I'm wondering this too! I've got four DX bodies from two (used) sets but only one where the forearm slides off easily; and the peg on the saber arm is shorter than the DX07 one above the elbow so you really need to just replace the forearm.

Yeah, I bought a BD Luke loose and have tried the ANH Luke saber swap and I couldn't get the Bespin body's arm to budge. I must have gotten a non-BD body. There must be a difference between the BD and non-BD bodies.

I was only able to remove the elbow joint from the forearm by sticking it in boiling water but I don't want to do this to the sabre arm for obvious reasons.

From what people said at the time ANH Luke shipped, even if you get the forearm out, the joints are still not quite the same.

I gave up on it, parrtly because you have to strip the figure and the tiny clips on the Bespin outfit break pretty easily. I have a few of the outfits and have seen a couple of the clips break.

With the BD figure on the DX07 Bespin Luke set, the forearm of the right arm is able to slide out at the elbow because in the set, it includes a forearm where the hand is severed off and also includes the tourniquet accessory that Leia applied to him in the Falcon, that you can also put on the severed hand arm if you wish.

The clean figure is just a regular figure.

Yesterday I purchased the old Luke Skywalker Heroes of the Rebellion 1/6 Sideshow Bespin figure from Sideshow cheap off of eBay, and I'm hoping someone here can answer a couple of questions for me since I can't seem to find these answers in any threads here.

Can I remove the head sculpt from the old figure and replace it with one of the DX07 head sculpts, or the head sculpt from the new Hot Toys A New Hope Luke? Would it be an easy process? Would one of those newer/better heads still be in proportion with that old Sideshow figure body?

Not sure you can just switch the headscults. In order to make it work, i think you'll have to switch bodies as well.

The old SS heads have a different connector system than the HT or even the newer SS offerings. I think there is a way to do it but it won't be easy.

First you'd have to strip the figure and boil the head so it pops off its connector to the body. It's a small piece that is a pain in the *** to get off and back on if it comes off. I'll try to post some pics of what I'm talking about when I get a chance.

Once you have the head sculpt off the connector it has to be slightly modified to accommodate the HT Bespin head but not as much as the new young Luke head. That one is separate from the neck so you'd have to either attack a new neck to the sideshow body or just swap out the entire body to use that head.

The old SS buck bodies are crap and are not very proportionate so that's what I would suggest. Just get a new HT body or a knock off and start fresh.
