PROBLEM: Does anyone have any ideas about switching the arm on the battle damaged version. The arm comes out of the top but it stays in the the forearm, that's what I want off. I'm afraid to use pliers or a tool because of scratching and damage to arm. I've tried my bare hands but I can't get a good grip on the elbow joint. :( :banghead

Just picked up a 2nd hand Sideshow Jedi like for $50 bucks. Converted one of the DX Luke using the Sideshow outfit and am loving the end result.

My question is...
Since you can't plug in the DX legs into the old Sideshow Jedi boots, how did you connect the boots? Are the feet missing from inside the boot?

Warmup photo. The rest are at Toys Will Be Toys.

Great read Terry, any chance of a CS2 lightsaber tutorial? Thanks!

I had the same question. Working on an Endor Luke.

Sent from the Monolith.

I'll take some pics today. To answer your question, yes...feets are missing but the sideshow boots are super sturdy to the point that it's a pretty snug fit. He can stand up just fine as if the feet are in the boots.

I put my Sideshow Bespin Luke on a Hot Toys body ages ago. To get the Slim TT feet into the Sideshow boots you need only do two things. First, remove the toes from the TT feet. This is done by pushing out the pin that holds the toes to the feet. I straightened out a paperclip and used its tip for that.

After that, it's a simple matter of heating the hell out of Luke's boots, then jamming the feet into the boots. They should pop right in. Then you can shove the ankle joints into the feet at the bottom. Presto! You're done. (Here's my only pic of my SS Bespin Luke, but I think it's easy to tell that the boots aren't simply slapped on.)

That's interesting, all I had to do was push the SS Jedi Boots into the pants cuffs of the SS Jedi suit until it was snug and presto great fit and I can pose him extremely well with no threat of falling over whatsoever. :lecture

Very cool, 2ndname. I want to do this with my Luke too, once I get tired of seeing Bespin Luke. ...might take awhile before that happens though. :)

Thanks for sharing

Thanks! Yeah, I have them posed side by side and having a different outfit for the 2nd body makes it such a nice little display. Love these Lukes as much as the Bruce Lees :clap

The Sideshow costume looks a bit big for the Hot Toys body and head. I'm just basing this on my memory of the films, mind you.

That's why I took advantage of mixing my Jedi outfit with a combo of SS and Medicom :lecture

After being ripped off by three different ebay sellers I finally got my HT Luke from a fellow Freak and it's awesome.

He is just as awesome as he looks in all your photos.

Wow guyver1, Medicom SS Luke looks awesome!

I really like the result

My recipe

1. Medicom Hair (Thanks to Jedijim's idea) :yess:
2. SS Outfit and boots
3. Medicom gloved hand
4. SS saber
5. Medicom Vest

I like the Medicom cloak better than the SS, in case any of you haven't followed the other threads.
