Maybe the light-up lightsaber that comes with the SSC obi-wan padawan would be a good stand-in? At least it's something.

From what I understand the lightsaber is attached to the hand for the Obi-Wan with the light-up saber. I imagine that the hand might be part of the housing. This means, you would have the wrong saber for Luke with possibly the wrong shade of skin tone, unfortunately.

JUst got my Luke DX a week ago...thought the outfit and belt quality was a bit low oh and the headsculpt magnet...thank God for Krazy Glue//but all in all a great figure and set !

I'm waiting on availability of a few pre-orders before my (already bought/paid-for) DX Luke ships, so I haven't yet had my hands on any of the packaging/items.

Is the instruction manual available online? I haven't been able to find it after some cursory searching.

Specifically I'm looking for information on ceiling-mounting the weather vane. I'd like to know if the part comes pre-slotted or pre-drilled with holes for anchors/screws. If anyone knows the diameter of the circular ceiling mounted portion I'd also love to know that as well.

I'm in the final stages of building out the display features of my new office and I want to make sure I'll be able to mount the vane where I'm planning. I know I could always put it in a Detolf, but the three I have will already be at capacity. I need a small light-up "No Vacancy" sign. :)

It comes with everything you need to ceiling mount the weather vane. There is a pre-slotted disc piece that you screw to the ceiling, then the vein locks onto that. However, the screws are a bit on the short side. I would recommend longer screws and screw into a stud for security. I is a fairly simple process.

Thanks for the info, that answers my question about the product already coming pre-prepped for screws.

I is a fairly simple process.

I'm not worried at all about the complexity - I build some of my own furniture and do plenty of my own reno. :) I was mainly curious as to whether the product would need to be modified or if it already came prepared with holes. Now I'm just curious about the dimensions to make sure it fits *and* looks good where I'm thinking of placing it. Diameter of the disc only though, because I know the height will be fine.

Love this figure!

I am working on my custom ESB Snowspeeder Luke too.

Questions.....is that the SS Cerimonial jacket, or the Hasbro?
What did you use for the jacket collar? Was it the Hoth Hasbro collar from the vest?
What did you use for the snow?
Any other photos to share of this bad boy?

Thanks man!

Thanks guys. For the snow effect I used a combination of snow in a can from the Christmas section. And I also used woodland scenic's snow with a combination of water and white glue. I used a soldier story tan flight suit which I dyed orange. And then I used the Hasbro ceremonial yellow jacket but it was too thick so I had to cut it up into pieces and sew it onto the soldier story uniform. The collar is simply the tan flight suits collar which I rolled up to achieve that effect. I think that's it. I will take more photos in a couple days when I do a proper dio Thanks again

Very cool! I am also going to be using the Hasbro jacket. I figured the sleeves would have to be tailored narrow.

Great job!!
