Then you're selling at the wrong place buddy. Check out this place called ebay. Most are going for $270-$300 shipped.

nah they're not going for that much. on average the exclusive with the extra body sells for $250 while the regular sells between $220-250
i've been trying to sell mine here for $225 plus shipping with no takers.

The ebay fees kill that final price.

yeah if i sold mine on ebay for say $240, i'd be taking a loss after ebay and paypal fees. no thanks.

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

Is it because of all the HT that have been coming out of late? People are starting to become divided with what they will or won't buy. Bruce is just not that desirable on the flip side I guess? That and this figure isn't even a year old. Wait till you drop 270 on the 89 joker and watch what happens. You better make sure you want what your buying or you just might be taking a loss.

I don't know i had no problem selling just half of my ETD exclusive for $200 at EBAY but i guess it was luck!^_^

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

I think people are starting to buy too sell. With how high the prices are getting you really cant blame a person. But then the market gets over saturated and your stuck. I'm sure Lee was expected to disappear. Oops.

I think a lot of people look at figures like Blade, Mk I etc and figure that every second figure is an easy flip. But any figure I can think of that is selling for crazy money now spent a good year or more in the doldrums. I hear a lot about Mk I languishing on gohastings for ages and now it's a $700 figure in the after-market. Given time I'd guess Lee will be a lot harder to come by and the after-market price will reflect this.

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

What i want to know is why so many people picked this DX04 to try and flip? :dunno

It's not like this was going to be an instant sell out by any means, a low edition size or an exclusive limited item. There's more than enough of these to go around for anyone looking for a long time, and like LJ said it will be years before they become near extinct and the price starts to climb.

If you're looking to make your money back your best bet would be to part the set out.

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

I get most of my HT from people that part out. I have no room for dioramas and the like, so I just go for what I need. Sometimes you win and can build a figure from parts for less than a box set. When I built my HT Godfather, for what I paid for parts I could actually have got the box set and change. Mind you he was going for £130 boxed at the time!

With my ETD Bruce, I got a head from the gentleman above and got the gear and feet on eBay. I then found the suit figure for £75 shipped which took care of the rest, so I won then. However, when I found another head cheap I decided to get another body and feet. I found a body for £40 and feet for £30. That's nearly the price of the boxed figure in parts alone!

If you want a figure such as a DX but can't afford a DX price tag, there's no harm in checking out what places like Toy Anxiety are selling parts for. If you don't like what you see on eBay, keep checking back and wait and see. There's nothing worse that leaping at what you think is a great price and then you find it cheaper a day later.

You don't have to have everything NOW, this second! Good things come to those who wait! Shop around and take your time.

As the Stones said:

"You can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you get what you need!"

Low edition and HT cannot be put in the same sentence anymore. Those days are pretty much over me thinks. There will be plenty of any HT figures in the future. Scalpers saw to that.

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

If u r in this to flip then buy multiple of the dx 89 joker. 270$ each. Good luck!

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

Uh, no ! You won't make any money on those. They will be overproduced like the rest of HT stuff lately and there will be plenty to go around.

Yes, I have the sneaking suit and regular head on mine and it looks great.

:goodpost: Agreed. If there are any truly exclusive figures down the road they will retail at an insane price I would imagine.

I think some have, I believe you need to sand the peg down before it'll fit.
That said, the DX head is all about action, something the RM-X isn't. It was designed to look pretty which Bruce wasn't. The HT body runs rings round it.

Nope its the opposite, the ball on the DX head is smaller than the RM-X ball cavity on the neck, so no need for any sanding.
Sanding is needed however to fit the EB GoD head on the HT BL body as the ball on the GoD head is much larger than the HT BL neck cavity

So does the DX head sit flush on the RM-X or is it loose?

somewhere in between, its not that loose that it'll wobble, but its not as tight as the fit the respective heads have on their respective bodies. Its workable...

If you want to tighten it you can maybe put a coat of super glue around the ball and the ball cavity and let it dry COMPLETELY to make like a fake layer and increase friction. (I did it with my MIS Suited Bruce who refused to stand due to ankle joints aggravated by the uneven distribution of weight due to the high-heels of the shoes)

Nice.

How are you making out with your ETD hunt btw?
