Boy both the suit version and casual version are sure available at a great cost now...

I wish the Bruce body could be used for Luke Skywalker!

The question I find myself asking now is....

Will we ever see a Hot toys Bruce Lee head sculpt by Arnie Kim???

He works at Blitzway now, so no more sculpts for HT. He did the 2 you mentioned.

Wow I guess I haven't been around for that news. I have frequently blogged with Arnie, he's a really easy guy to talk to.

Do you have any inside gossip like he and Yullie didn't get along or something? Indy was a disaster???

I kinda feel like Arnie already sculpted these smiling Bruce sculpts at Enterbay then just touched them up and sold them to Hot toys...

I was looking at a 1/4 ETD serious face Bruce for a while, hoping that would be for HT 1/4 line... dunno what he's going to do with it now.

So he's at Blitz... awesome. Blitzway has officially arrived anyway so that's GREAT, and then there were 3!

Hot toys, Enterbay, Blitz

1/3 to 1/2 scale Arnie Kim Bruce Lee coming soon !!

He also did the Carlito's Way figure they just released.

Internally I'm all thinking Hot toys must have been a stressful environment to work in! I bet there are some bigtime ego trips which would totally explain why Hot toys can be half retarded sometimes...

Oh this is just fantastic news...

SAB - From this day forth, you can do no wrong.

I'm feeling like when I met an actor that worked with Brandon Lee, close to Bruce.... :panic::panic::panic::panic::panic::horror:horror:horror:horror

ha ha ha I will hold you to that :)

I could be wrong but I don't think Arnie worked on site anyway.

I think his drifting off from Hot Toys was due to Enterbay closing the license loop and HT no longer being able to produce 1/6 Bruce Lee figures. Arnie Kim has shown he can do others (his Reeves Superman was awesome) but he is really a Bruce Lee obsessive that just wants to scuplt Lee over and over until the end of time.

...and yeah I'll definitely buy the enormous Kim Lee statue ! :clap

gotcha SAB, but if Enterbay closed the license loop, what can Blitzway get away with that Hot toys can't?

If your wondering where the enthusiasm comes from... this started my 6th scale obsession... was Arnie doing Bruce for Enterbay.

Which figure was it that started your obsession. I love the Green Hornet they made a few years ago. That was my very first EB figure and it's a perfect representation of the character.

Same here...Arnie/Bruce/Enterbay was the combo that sucked me in.

The behind the scenes info we have on this site is patched together from various sources, unofficial and official, some confirmed, some guess work:

- Enterbay had the exclusive license for the Hong Kong movies and what they thought was the exlusive Lee license

- Hot Toys went through Warner Brothers to get Enter the Dragon and then went to Shannon Lee to get Lee's likeness rights, which weren't Enterbay exlusive after all.... they got 3 figure sets out before....

- Enterbay got Shannon Lee to sign a exclusive license for Lee for all 1/6 and 1/4 sized collectibles (confirmed by both Enterbay and Shannon Lee)

- Hot Toys was working on a seamless Lee muscle body and showed computer prototypes which promptly disappeared and was never mentioned again after the Enterbay exclusive announcement

- Blitzway signed Arnie Kim (whose Hot Toys departure was never officially announced) and went to Shannon Lee to get a license to do something larger than 1/4 (because of Enterbay's exclusive) .
If you look on the Blitzway announcement it says 'larger sized polystone statue'. We don't have a hint yet of whether we're talking 1/3 or 1/2 scale.

Hot Toys could of and still can do the same thing I guess although they've shown they are way behind the high end 1/4 figure emerging market that Enterbay have basically invented out of nowhere, let alone trying to tackle 1/3 or 1/2.

This seems a huuuuuuuuge jump for Blitzway so we'll see what happens!

Great info in that post. I knew some of the story, but not all of it. That definitely filled in some of the blanks for me, thanks SAB.

It was this photo Death...

At the time, this looked real to me... as I see it now, I think that is so funny... :rotfl

But my first official straight from Enterbay was FOF, autographed by the man himself. Infact I had an Jet Li autographed Enterbay Jet Li figure too... All sold now, thank goodness I got full value back for everything....

Death, the kato is the biggest "kick in the ***** why didn't I get it" figure for me, just a werk of art.

Totally SAB, thanks for the insight.
That scale thing is sooooooo sneaky I love it...

either a 1/3-1/2 statue from arnie would be great.i still think the dx-04 sculpts would have been much better had arnie had control of them..my first BL figure/statue was the resin ''stick'' unbuilt model from ETD. i still have it 20yrs later.
