Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

i can't understand why they don't just make spares for all the MMS releases . chances are the bodies will need replacing for a variety of reasons . its a HT's market begging to be tapped. we should organize and inundate them with emails.

While that's true, the bodies are also unique to these figures and therefore key selling points to each.

I recently had the right knee joint of my Hellboy break... its easy enough to replace with TT joint.. but it sucks that the leg under the pants is no longer solid red and because of that the value of the figure is diminished.

What the hell does that have to do with Bruce Lee? :dunno:lol

The post right above mine talked about how Hot Toys should readily produce replacement bodies. I was speaking to that effect.

You can probably pick up a busted TT off of ebay for cheaper than anything HT or their retailers would sell it for.

I think Wake would like to buy a whole new replacement HB body.... which would also happen to be the absolute last body that they would ever release on its own.

That's what you would think but no.:gah:

Really? I picked up about 4 less than a month ago for about $12 each and have been using them to replace the fubar knees on the TTAs as they break. Also used them to swap out the forearms on the Mech Test bod for a normal Tony Stark. Just keep checking ebay and the breakdown shops like MD, VP, WT and TA. Sometimes you can even find one of the older TTs whole, for cheaper.

I recently won an auction lot of 13 bodies for $115+ something, it included 5 HT TT's and the rest were Sideshow bodies.

I am going to rotoscope paint out all the nipples in my DVD copy of ETD so my nude BL body is screen accurate.

Its like a stethoscope, but for your butt.

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

Wish I had not asked. But how does it apply to painting nipples?

Rotoscoping is essentially painting/adding/removing details onto film frames. Sometimes it's done to paint out supporting wires on superman etc, othertimes it's used by animators so their characters echo the movement of real actors. In my case, I'll be taking every frame of ETD where Bruce's nipples are showing, and painting them out so my extra nude BL body will look the same as the real Bruce on screen. At 30 frames of film for every second of screen time this could take a while - but at least my Bruce will be screen accurate! :yess:

Good idea.
But wouldnt it be easier and more accurate to just paint his nipples instead?
