Man those eyes are hella creepy.
Can't say this is one of HT's finest moments or figures.

It's the quietness of this release that has me baffled. It HAS to be a Lucasfilm thing.

Yeah, HT's lack of coverage so close to the release date has me very concerned as well. I mean, Reeve's Superman gets tweaked, and pics fly all over the boards months before release showing the updated sculpt.

I am thinking the PERS doesn't always work for figures. Obviously Indy is a good example of that. Hmm...indeed.

Is it really? Or, is that justt a bad photo?

You be the judge...

:lol

I have never understood the PERS thing, it seems a waste that effects the way the face looks. There are MANY sculpts out there that are great looking without using PERS.

It's a little leaver that moves the eyes around for posing. :lol

It's not an evil plot.

I don't have any figures with PERS to judge by, but I think if it is incorporated into the sculpt properly, it can make the overall appearance more realistic. The eyes are more often than not te real make or break feature, especially when it comes to paint work. Not that HT seem to really have much of a problem with sculpted/painted eyes, but SS for sure does. Poorly painted eyes are the difference between a figure looking realistic versus doll like.

I feel the same way. I only own two DX figures, Bruce and the Joker, and I feel the PERS works well on the Joker, though I'm afraid to move the eyes now, and great on Bruce, who I feel is a perfect choice for such and upgrade. Going forward I have Indy, 89 Bats and Joker on PO, but I have doubts about them all, and even Luke down the road. I'm really not sure how value added the PERS upgrade is really, in fact the entire DX line just seems like yet another way to milk us for a few extra bucks, and the majority of the time it seems like the upgrades are just superfluous. I don't really need/want/like big light up bases, PERS, large elaborate boxes, cardboard backdrops, additional environment pieces, etc. Just gimme the damn figure!!

Fantastic visual of a long-understood phenomenom...

It sucks paying for a bunch of stuff we don't use. :(

Ooh, agreed there with you guys. I don't even really want a stand of any sort. I have never had any trouble standing my figures on their own, being on a stand makes them look like toys.

Right! Sweeney Todd says hi. :wave

Oh Butters.

Well, go look at the latest Superman pics and you'll be more confident that we'll get something great here! :D

THIS x2. Also I left out the word work in my priginal post. :duh

Right! I will say the only cool base I've noticed that works real well is the Kevin Flynn TRON base. Subtle.

I'm sure HT wouldn't have a problem with charging you the same price for less features. Less work for them.

Even if you don't use them, it's nice to know that they're there and part of really well put together package. It's nice to have all the extra options, I think.
