One could use this as a general Jack Sparrow figure if they wanted. There's quite a good amount of differences of his costume and hair between all the movies, but still doesn't mean you can't use it as a general representation of the character.

That's exactly my thinking. I'm hoping to try and remove the larger belt and display him without the hat or jacket. Sword in one hand pistol in the other! Can't wait!

Awesome that's one of the many cool poses you could get with the figure! I was thinking of taking the new belt off once in a while as well, depending on how I want him displayed. I really can't wait for this figure either! Too bad it's still almost a year away.

That's pretty much my plan. When I had DX06, it wasn't really specific to one movie when I was done, I just mixed parts from all the looks with the pieces I had til it represented Jack to my liking.

Like others, I'll not be using the 3rd belt, don't care for what it does to his look, nor will I be placing the small knife/sword in his belts, don't like that either, I do like the double pistols from OST though, so that'll be part of it. The hat I'll be using looks more POTC 1-3 than 4 or 5. We'll see about the trinkets on his belts once I start taking all of these parts out, might look too much, I'll definitely keep all the trinkets he had up through at World's End though, and I really like the way HT has done the fur pelts on the side for the DX figures as actuall fur and not sculpted plastic, didn't really care much for the sculpted ones with the MMS figures.

Not getting this myself. Contemplated on pairing him with my DX06 to display different looks but gonna stick to one. Trying to keep my collection under control is hard enough as it is hehe. Still, he looks good. If he is better that the first is debatetable, but just as good easily which means great value for money IMO.

In conclusion, stop nitpicking on which is better. It is awesome that more collectors can get a Sparrow in their collection!

This is one of those figures there's likely to be plenty of on release. Depp seems popular in Asia, so the risk of lower edition size like with Star Wars now seems much lower.

I don't know if DX also means they will make fewer though.

Congrats! Looks great. You do what I do -- have figures for over a year without opening.


I love the DX but I feel he looks best without the hat and captain's coat. As much as I like the full gear, the coat and hat just cover so much of the wonderful detail.

This was the first pose....have to show everything, but I think I agree, he is featured much more without the coat and hat.

So I was flipping through my Jack Sparrow photos and found stills I'd taken from a Curse deleted scene where Jack reveals bullet scars on his chest/shoulder and burns on his left arm confirming stories Elizabeth had heard about him while they're marooned. I understand that scene being pointless when it was just Curse and no sequel plans, but now that it's a franchise, it adds to the character's history and shows the darker side to his adventures. Speaking of that, with all of these digital younger selves in movies lately, I'd love a flashback of Sparrow and Beckett crossing paths and Jack getting his P brand.

That's the plan for me.

I currently have the HT AWE Jack Sparrow serving as my general rendition of Jack and as cool as it would be to have two of them displayed with both looks, I PO'd this one with the intent on selling the AWE one to fund it. I'm not THAT huge of a fan of PotC to where I'd want two Jacks in my collection.

At one time, I had 4 Jacks, AWE, cannibal, Medicom and DX06, and I only sold them off out of necessity, that's how I was able to do these photos.

I'm glad to see a HT figure with two heads for different expressions again, and not for a masked/unmasked thing. It looks great here (as it did with the DX06).
