The evolution of Luke. Always wanted that as a display.

But then I just had to have his Pilot outfit... AND I've always loved the style of the Hoth clothing in Star Wars. So there's a real problem with the shut off valve on Lukes...
Oh I know. This is my 11th Luke 😂 and deluxe Bespin is on the way for 12th.

I heard something about that. Don't know what happened... but hopefully it was a bad experience for HT so they won't do it again
It was Sideshow’s website and it was ridiculous. Couldn’t log on or add it to your cart. If you were able to it kicked you off so by the time you eventually made it to payment screen there were none left.

So many Lukes...

I remember vividly when I realized that the 3-inch Star Wars collection was getting out of hand. It was when Hasbro introduced yet another Luke variant... the highly wanted "Luke gunner with Headset".

That's right... just adding the headset made a new Luke variant! Collect 'em All!!!

I think there were 27 Luke variants made by Hasbro from the OT.

Definitely waiting for SDCC to see if there’s an exclusive BD version but otherwise I’ve definitely got to grab one of these.

I'm really curious about this.

A BD version seems inevitable, but considering this one was a DX, have there been any other exclusive versions of 'special' figures before? It seems kind of unprecedented.

Granted, now that every HT figure includes moveable eyes, there really isn't anything special about a DX anymore, so it doesn't seem like that big of a deal.

But yeah, I'm in the same boat, I want one of these, but I'd rather have a weathered version.

It’s hot toys. It might not be this week, it might not be this summer, it might not be this year, but we will get another bespin luke with weathering and battle damage. They won’t be able to help themselves. I still can’t believe they haven’t done a bespin escape leia. Also, we may have gotten our 2 ot figures for the year in April, so I’m not anticipating anything else.

It's a good point, but as you've said, DX doesn't really mean what it did years ago. HT did the Luke Jedi, then Endor Luke, then DX Endor/sandstorm Luke, which were all pretty much the same fig with outfit add-ons and an extra modded headsculpt.

This one is indeed a reg and EX, but they may simply do a whole other release (even of a reg and EX again) that covers all the Dagobah stuff. There's just so much they could do with Dagobah in terms of outfit, accessories and amended head/hairsculpt, the Yoda+backpack only being the most obvious.

Hopefully I'm not being pedantic here but ...

MMS429 was Jedi Luke, then a year and a half later, they announced MMS516/517, which was the simultaneous release of Endor Luke, 517 was the deluxe version that included the Sandstorm accessories. There wasn't a DX Luke in that bunch. The 516/517 release seemed to be in response to thunderous demand, since people missed out on 429.

Now that you mention it, because there is so much they could do with a Dagobah Luke, and since it requires a seamless body. It almost seems more likely that there will be a DX Dagobah Luke that has a weathered outfit, and a Deluxe version that includes a backpack and non-poseable Yoda (that cheats scale) that fits in the backpack.

Now that I think all that through, I'm putting my money on the weathered outfit coming with another DX release as opposed to a convention exclusive.

I'll be surprised if they make another BD version myself. Their plate is already way too full and I can't see them having a super weathered and torn up Bespin outfit as a single release. As part of a two-pack back in the day, sure, but not as its own thing.

Yeah I think a lot of people had it 100% set in their minds that HT would do a Bespin Escape Leia after the Hoth release as it seemed like an easy no-brainer - and here we are many years later and it never happened.

That being said, everything else aside, I find it really strange/suspicious that this Luke Bespin fig has barely visible weathering/wear. It's just that weathered is "the" look for this outfit so you'd think they would have gone with a mid-range weathering like the Snowspeeder outfit.

Count me as one of those people. I'm still holding out hope...
