Planet of the apes is quite lame but I prefer the other movies over Ed wood :)

POTA is by far this worst... at least to me as it was a flick I was super-pumped about. Charlie and the chocolate factory was equally bad, but I knew that ahead of time so it was no biggie.

Not sure how anyone could say Batman ('89) was lame, I'll admit Returns was no masterpiece, but still better than the subsequent sequels. And I like pretty much all of his films with the exception of POTA and Charlie.

BTW, how badass would it be if they made a kickass Beetlejuice figure :rock :rock

Or Pee Wee, great use of the slim body :rock

Big fan of Burton here...

Best Movies:

1- Ed Wood (its a masterpiece)
2- Edward Scisorhands
3- Nightmare before christmas

Mars Attack,Sleepy Hollow, Sweeney Todd and Beetltejuice were also very good.

Worst movies:

1- POTA
2- Batman Returns

nah, his best movie is Ed Wood by far. he really excels at comedy. too bad most of his stuff is poorly done remakes. Batman was boring and badly written.

Now that would be a hilarious subject for a 1:6 figure, pink sweater and all....

Edward Scissorhands is an automatic purchase if HT does it.

NECA just made Beetlejuice so I could definetely see this coming from HT's as well. Just think, Edward Scissor Hands, brand new Beetle Juice, hmmmmmmmmm 89' Batman??? Sure hope so!

IF they make an 89' Batman line I will have shat my pants the moment the news reaches me!

Ah, forgot about that one... I'd love a Martian in 1/6 :rock

not a great movie. not bad at all, either
it's better when you see it in the theater when you're a kid.
Alan Arkin is hilarious in it, though.

Yes, he is, as are some of the other support characters. I love this movie. I hope so much this is a HT figure and SS gets it with a neat exclusive!! :banana

he didn't direct Nightmare. so, i'd put his best movies as:
1 - Ed Wood
2 - Pee-Wee's Big Adventure
3 - Edward Scissorhands
4 - Mars Attacks
5 - Beetlejuice

the rest are rehashed garbage. thank god he didn't do a Superman.

Damn beat me to it, Henry Sellick directed Nightmare Before Christmas (as Burton was directing Batman Returns at the time) so Burton acted as advisor. Sellick then went on to direct the stop motion "James and the Giant Peach"

Burton also shared the directing duties on Corpse Bride as well

My top:

1 Batman Returns
2 Edward Scissorhands
3 Ed Wood
4 Pee Wee

Batman Returns is wonderful, it's more than a batman movie , highly underrated.

I think its significant that as soon as HT have a slimmer version of their body to use we get this. Hopefully they've been sitting on a wealth of ideas that they couldn't realise till now.
This movie is 18yrs old now, but a classic and hugely popular Worldwide and in the 'East'. We seem to be getting a slew of characters that are massive out there, Jackson, Mr Bean, now Edward, I think its entirely possible that we may see something like a Pee Wee or Beetlejuice, But who knows what HT have up their collective sleeves, time will tell.

I like the way you are thinking. Its funny about 1-1 1/2 years ago it really seemed like the 1/6 market was dying or at the very least going to very specific sure-hit licenses. Something like this is kind of risky, but I'm happy HT is (at least it seems so far) is willing to take a chance and produce an awesome figure :rock

I think it will only get better too, guys like Feng (IMO) have really opened some doors into unthinkable possibilities. Then you factor in HT's reading these boards and we should all be set with some creative pieces.

I will be happy when I have anything from the following:

Godfather
Goodfellas
Scarface (HT's quality)
The Shining
89' Batman
Donnie Brasco

saw it and loved it,beautiful movie, allthough,I HATE SAD ENDINGS!:monkey2

I just wish i saw this as a kid, would make my experience watching it again so much better, like NeverEnding Story,The Labyrinth,Home Alone etc...

What,are,you,talking,about,?

,

I'd buy a Beetlejuice. HT Beetlejuice = FTW.
