Well my Rocky and Clubber arrived today from Toy2. I was tracking them through Canada Postes and they weren't to arrive till Wednesday. Wasn't I surprised by the early delivery. The Rambo arrived Thursday from AE. They all look as good as the protos if not better. Rambo's jeans look perfectly weathered. The only thing missing is his green Army jacket, damn. On Rocky & Clubber's boxing belts are pictures of them two plus Apollo & Drago, hope they're next. Sorry they're still boxed as my display area is still under construction.

BigBadToystore just put these up for pre-order at a steep $149.99 each. Since Toy2 is now sold out of Rocky might be the only place to get him other than evilbay.

Am I missing something? Looking at the earliest promo pics of the First Blood Rambo figure, the M-60 has a bi-pod, just like in the movie. But my figure's M-60 doesn't have it. Was it not included in the final figure, or do I need to dig up the box in my garage and look for the bi-pod taped underneath the plastic packaging?

Yes, the proto had the longer M60 with the bipod but they decided to go with the M60 Shorty which was recycled from the Viet Nam Marine because these were already in production so they saved on cost. It sucks. I want the bipod version. Dragon/Armoury I believe makes one and you can get them for a few bucks at War-Toys or ebay.

That is a nice custom poncho for John J there Dassy! What material did you use to make it? Very cool!

Got my Rocky yesterday from Toys2 and regret not ordering Clubber Lang. Though I ordered it for myself, my son laid claim to it! Still couldn't stop warning him ad nauseum about not bending the arms...in fact, I told him to call me whenever he wanted to change the pose!

Gone are the scars that Rambo passed on to the PMC figure. The rubber leg shell is an improvement over the earlier PMC rubber legs. The new legs are softer and don't have the same bulky, ropey appearance.

Well, there's got to be at lease one negative thing that comes up, and for me it's getting the wrist pins securely into the gloves, which is not as easy as you'd think considering how deep and narrow the cuffs are and because the wrist pegs are articulated so that you need to have it pointing precisely perpendicular to get it into the hole. You can't really tell if you've successfully done this (there's no obvious "click") untill the gloves stop falling off for a long period of time.

has anyone ever returned a defective figure at Toys2? Im trying to contact them but it's been a few days and haven't heard back. Do they do a good job at accomodating returns?

Thanks, I didn't realize that there are long and short versions. I'll look for a replacement.

The arm skeleton on a PMC nude I bought from Toys2 broke when I tried moving it forward just a little. Toys2 asked me to take a digital photo of the figure as proof they could send to Hot Toys, and I got a replacement, headless nude. It took some time (about a month or so) because I guess the replacement body first needed to come from Hot Toys.

I'm surprised that you haven't gotten a response yet. Eric (I believe that's the owner's name) responded pretty quickly to me. However, it might be better if you contacted him through the website, after you've accessed your existing customer profile.

Well, here is my John Rambo custom from First Blood. I am going to rework it but here my first attempt along with some reference photos.

As you can see, the belt is the right color (white) but is too short. Also, the dirt on the poncho needs to be redone, but I am going to continue to work on it.

Cheers,

Brad

Looks nice Brad!! That is the very same thing I was thinking of attempting as well. Now if I could only paint the rubber I would be able to really work on this guy!

Oh and I just got my Rocky today!! Pics soon..... :D

Was at Walmart today and they had the Ultimate Soldier weapon set with an M60 with folding bipod. I think it was like $7 for the set with the AK-47, landmine and a couple other rifles. All 1:6 scale.
