i'll be honest lonnie, it seems purely political that the freaks board doesn't have sub-forums for hot toys, medicom, bowen or electric tiki. discussion about specific manufacturers and their lines shouldn't be excluded because this is a ss specific board. surely no one is worried it will take business away from the home team? i'm not talking every tom, dick or harry toy maker, just the heavy hitters. and now that ss is distributing those mentioned above, it shouldn't be a conflict of interest.

I really don't see a point in creating manufacturer-oriented sub-forums. It's nice and cozy to have all of them together.
How could we do comparisons between the Medicom, NECA and (future) Hot Toys Alien figures if we had sub-forums? Or the whole onslaught of TDK figures?
I like the forums as they are.

I don't think we need a Hot Toys or Medicom section, since there are decated boards for them.

I like taking about charactes and licenses reguardless of who they are made by.

agreed. its great that SS distributes the other big dogs, but we don't need specific places for them. they are already all over the place so the peeps that are talking about them know where to find the threads already.

As I've pointed out (hmm, to the same person too) - that's not how the board is organized.

If you want to talk about Star Wars - go to the Star Wars section - you don't have to visit the Sideshow forum for the Sideshow figures or the Gentle Giant section for the busts or the Master Replica section for the prop replicas.
