This one is definitely not for me or my own personal tastes, but it's certainly distinctive. And I've got to say, I kind of like to see the odd off the wall release like this, it helps keep things interesting (and gives my wallet a breather at the same time).

People applaud this, yet mock the porcelain trooper. Bizzare. This is as much of a "waste" of a spot for other characters as that was, except the trooper has some elegance.

It looks cool. Throws a bit of nostalgia in for us old timers who grew up with the elusive Star Wars Holiday Special. I had the 4 inch Hasbro version and liked it but this I couldn't see buying unless I won the lottery and every other figure that I want was already made and I didn't go over my weekly spending budget of $5000.00. Then maybe if get it but most likely would pass anyway.

But at least this is based on something actually from Star Wars as opposed to a stupid custom pottery based colour scheme.

I have never watched the Holiday Special and I never will. Plus that colour scheme is horrible.

So...you don't like the holiday special? :)

Anyone who has never seen it, most of it is on YouTube. Rifftrax has a more complete version, including a custom opening scroll that's pretty hilarious. Coincidentally, if want a trip down memory lane you can see the first commercial for the toys with this broadcast.

Im so in for this figure! It's a figure of the first official appearance of Boba Fett, he needs to stand next to proto Fett in my collection.

It seems like a lot of people connect this figure with their dislike for the Holiday Special. Luckily, my peak in collecting came when Hasbro started releasing figures of it in the 00's and I've always loved the colors. Nothing wrong with this slight repaint for fans as far as I'm concerned.

Honestly, its the helmet. Its just so off............had they bothered redoing that, I would have been tempted. The 'T' in the visor is pretty off-putting

What figure do you all think HT will put up for PO this Friday? I hope it's this. Yeah, I know I'm the only one.

As much as I love the idea of this and applaud that they honored Fett's first appearance like this, it's kind of an eyesore.

Which is honestly part of the appeal for me. :D There's definitely no mistaking where this Fett originated! Other HS Fett figures have had muted colors to make him less offensive but that defeats the purpose IMO.

Look at that paint scheme, loud and proud just like the toon.
