I gotta give Hot Toys their props for using the same technique the costume designers used on the movie to make the silver shine through the suit.

Sounds like we'd be getting an almost entirely different film than the one put out in theatres which is fine by me.

I don't know how much you've followed about the Snyder Cut (I haven't followed nearly as closely as a lot of people), but he said that in his version of JL, Superman would never wear the traditional suit, he'd wear the black one and have to "earn" back the traditional colors.

Eh, I look at it as a win win. If Snyder?s cut does come out, and on the small chance Hot Toys makes more figures, we?ll have a classic colors Supes and a black suit Supes.

Apparently Zack Snyder had that chrome added in order to make the black suit pop more. He wanted the black suit for the entire film but the studio (Geoff Johns?) said no. But he planned to recolor it black in post for his director?s cut.

Yep I heard that too. They found with the General Zod costume it was too matt. So hence the silver under layer. Pretty cool I reckon.

Now where is a decent review ?? Is everyone on holiday or what

I'm actually glad they made him give Superman the traditional suit. I'm not interested in Clark wearing the black suit for 3 movies, that's not something that should be stretched out that long.

I mean they made the Concept Art Cap that was pretty popular, and the black Superman suit is at least actually seen (albeit in a deleted scene) in an actual film. Plus it's proven to be a fan-favorite over the last 25+ years.

As cool as it would be to have. I think I'd only want to see it if they do a NEW headsculpt and not just a repaint..

IIRC he said it was only JL 1 that Superman would definitely be in the black suit for for the whole movie. He wasn't clear if he's back in the blue suit by JL or 3, though.

I too am psyched to see this suit for a figure. I want the black one as well. But if I could only have one or the other it would be this one.

And that kinda sucks because now we are getting an altered version of the the unaltered version we are wanting.

-We- greatly depends on who you talk to. A proper Return of Superman story after his death by Doomsday warrants the black suit and for him to earn the blue suit back just like he did in the comic. I actually wish he didn?t have a cape with the black suit in Synder?s version either to be more accurate to the source material. Yea this figure is cool with its bright colors but given the choice between a better movie with black suit or a shiny new toy, I?d pick the former over the latter any day of the week.

Looks fantastic. I wasn't a fan of any of the films except MOS but I want this. I like the lighter suit color too. I do wish that the neck was shorter and the alt sculpt had a less evil expression. I know they reused the sculpt and body but it doesn't bother me because I haven't had one of these since the MOS version, which I sold.

I hope they keep Cavill on.

In some of these pics are they forgetting to take off the LED adapter before putting the regular head back on?

The neck just really stands out in some pics but looked fine in that Facebook video.

No, when asked on Vero about the "journey" back to the blue suit Snyder said it would take place over the next two films.

Love the silver undersuit, should make it sparkle but have yet to see a decent video.

Justin mentioned on his last room tour video he should have this figure tomorrow...which is now today. Hopefully a video shouldn't be far away.
