Trying to replicate that moustache erased by CGI look isn't easy. Patience...

He looked like he had just eaten something that gave him an allergic reaction.

At least with Hot toys when you're a DC fan you can saves money but i really want a BvS or a JL Superman.

Superman is the only JL figure I intend to buy. I had BvS version, but I never liked the drab colors. Much prefer the more vibrant appearance.

I reckon maybe Kit Chen and Eleven could supply a proper JL sculpt in the future.

Myself, I really like the look of the JL Supes prototype head sculpt, though. Yes, it's a repaint of the BvS one, but I like the facial expression, it has gravitas. I'd rather have that than how he appeared in JL! Cavill's hair style looks bad in JL, and the way the suit looks in the Whedon reshoots the under-chroming is over-pronounced. Now if someone wants to make a sculpt that's more of a concept than actual representation of the look in the film, that would interest me, yes.

But anyway, the prototype photos of this figure are the best representation I have seen HT do for Superman thus far. To me it looks perfect. I'm not interested in the angry laser eye face, but that's probably just me.

I'm not sure which version I prefer...i'm not really fan of the JL base, for the color i love the "dark" color of the BvS,, for the JL version on the secret base picture, it's was ok, not too bright, and now pre order JL version is cheaper than finding a BvS version. Of course the additional head is pretty cool, il only Hot toys could give a release date.

Yeah that really is strange that they couldn't get this guy out in time,. It's not like it's a whole new figure. OK the light up eyes are new, but the rest is all carryover with different paint.

Just love that picture. Almost thought he had been released at Secret Base.

I hope they make the torso gripper so that it doesn't damage the material. I guess there must be a way to reduce the strength of the spring or put some padding between somehow. I just love that iconic hover pose.....I mean he has to be in the air, he's Superman !

I was really expecting this to be released before Christmas last year. All the Marvel figures truly do take priority. As much as I like Hot Toys, I kinda wish they would let the DC license go to a company that would actually utilize it.
