I remember seeing that figure available for pre-order but I can't remember from where.

I did pre-order the OSK sculpt, though. That was some time ago. No word received yet on when it will finally ship.

Still super pleased with this figure, despite the super long wait. I consider it one of the Crown Jewels of my collection.

There was apparently a third party bootleg of this coming out.

Does anyone know any info on that? Would love to pick one up and mod it to a black suit.

If I'm not mistaken, would it be this one? It's The Transcendent by By-Art

If the By-Art KO figure comes with that body, it's going to be huge and tall as that is the Worldbox AT27 body. And it will more than likely not be painted chrome or even silver underneath but I could be very wrong as there aren't many pics of it around.

Thanks Zurdo. It's a peeve of mine with Hot Toys. On certain figures Hot Toys just don't pay enough attention to making the neck look natural. Figures like DX10 T-800 and the Cavill Supermans in particular suffer from it - ''Stick up the Arse-itus''.

Maybe if padding can be added to the traps (which it needs anyway - dunno what HT has against trap muscles) it would reduce the awkward giraffe neck somewhat. It's a pity because I think this is otherwise a beautiful looking Superman. That vibrant suit...

Lol, that’s super funny but also unfortunately accurate. Even though I like Supes’ ''Stick up the Arse-itus'' as I feel it suits the ZS vision for his version of the character, it does bug the hell out of me on the DX10. Logically it makes no sense in my mind because we know that T-800 is a freaking robot and actually should look like he’s got a metal rod up his arse but yeah, it detracts for sure. I’ve been agreeing with much of the posts that I’ve read lately from a-dev but this one is totally a split for me, 50/50. I’ve loved the JL Supes since opening it feeling it superior in every way to the previous versions with my only complaint being that I didn’t buy the case (6-pack) when I had the chance because I started to believe that out of all the JL figures (minus Bats), this would have been the most over produced. I’d have flipped 4, and basically kept 2 for free. DAGGUM FUTHERMUCKER=ME

I'm not going to read through 426 pages..lol
I just received this figure
Does it bother anyone else that the S is small? Perhaps I wouldn't have notice but I also have the BvS version and the S is noticibly larger.
It's one of those things that if I never saw the other, I likely wouldn't notice.

Also the painting looks a little like he's wearing mascara or something to me

HOWEVER- The brightness / coloring of the suit is fantastic! I do definitely like this figure & am glad I purchased it.

Seems like the majority folks got the smaller emblem. Mine was that way when I received it although was hoping to be pleasantly surprised. Since I missed out on the previous Superman, beggars can't be choosers.

You can read from this post listed below forward for a bit of the emblem size discussion last summer.

If it's such a problem isn't it easy to get something in under the clothing material in the trapezoid area to bulk it up ??

Thanks blinguskhan. I dipped out of HT collecting for a good few years and I'm now dipping back in and that's why you've suddenly seen more posts from me in the Marvel and DC sections. During those down years I collected only NECA and most of my HT posts were complaining about the domination of Superheroes in their output at the seeming expense of classic licenses. Well, can't beat 'em, join 'em I guess :)

Anyway about this figure, it's just the neck I don't like, everything else is good, so I'm encouraged by other people's positivity about it. It might just push me over into placing the order.

Well that's what I'm thinking of doing if I buy this figure. If that area can be bulked up even just a little bit it could help with the neck situation - not entirely, because I think the neck is unfortunately just sculpted into an excessively vertical position with the head awkwardly plopped on top and the padding won't change that - but it would help with how long the neck looks if the cape comes up higher around the back.
